It is blatantly obvious at this point that considering we are going into the summer and the cases are about to peak, opening up is just lunacy. Perhaps they should look at their death figures a little closer, as well as long covid sufferers. Only counting deaths upto 28 days of testing is beyond belief especially now that we know the drugs used reduces the severity and prolongs life of the sufferers.

On the other hand, PM saying all restrictions are lifted while mayos says the musks must be worn in transport is even worse. People were already ignoring the rule when it was law and nobody around to challenge the people not obeying the rules.

We are now entering the twilight zone.

"The British Navy’s most powerful flotilla since the Falklands War has been decimated by Covid-19 after sailors went raving in Cyprus, The Mirror reported on Wednesday.

Part of the crew tested positive for the virus after recently stopping by the city of Limassol.

It is believed the people who tested positive include at least 100 crew aboard the HMS Queen Elizabeth, who have already received two doses of a coronavirus jab."

...for the record.

So much for "safety passes" that the whole planet is wasting its time with!

But what’s your point? Nobody’s ever said vaccination stops you contracting Covid. :?

It sounds, from the various reports, that all of these people were asymptomatic. Nobody reported sick, let alone got hospitalised. Those infected were discovered on the ships’ routine Covid testing regimes.

You should get yourself vaccinated GR. It’s walk-in vaccine clinics here from today.

Don’t - as they used to say back in the 80s, when we were all doomed to perish from aids - die of ignorance. Or, with you, more a case of pigheaded stubbornness.

Oh FFS. I haven't critiized the vaccination process.

but I do understand that the vaccines will not kill COVID, and it will not elliminate death. and in some cases, will cause more death than COVID ever will in some countries.

One such country, is Australia. we have already had a number of deaths. One person died today and 1 yesterday. We have the TGA and ATAGI who are divulging information and stats here. It's accurate data and people can actually trust these souyrces as opposed to Fauci who is a political rat and lost his credibility long ago.

We have had 1 COVID death as well in Sydney. Will probably have some more soon enough.

You lot will be vaccinated way earlier than Australia. That makes you all our experimental lab and the biggest trial we can pin our hats on. Seeing as you are all (I'm talking about EU and US as a whole) total COVID dropkicks, it should be the ultimate test for the vaccines ever. If you reduce transmission and death, then the vaccines have a degree of worth. If not, then welcome to Covid hell.

I just think it's more lilkely to be a case of COVID hell.

Which means, the vaccines are unlikely to prevent lock downs for the next 2 years minimum, maybe 5 years.

but good luck. We are watching and so far the stats don't impress us at all.
