What I really don't get is how it is possible to have the numbers increased that much when you're being subject to quite strict measures.
Is there an attitude like "let find any way to pass it on by any means"?
12 months ago, Cyprus was doing excellent compared to most other nations .......... and there was some learning curve for most since then. How is it possible???????

Before this two week lock down people were allowed to go out up to two times per day for practically any reason. Just send an SMS.
As of April 25, a total of 241,700 (27.5 per 100) vaccinations have taken place and according to the ECDC 23.2 per cent have received their first dose; with 8.3 per cent having received both.

yeah, Cyprus was doing well because the restrictions on movement were more strict and the ports were closed for most part.
This year, the restrictions have been relaxed and more people are bending those restrictions further where ever they can.

In my opinion, the restrictions on movement may as well not have been in place.
Also, people are not fully adhering to social distancing and mask wearing protocols. From what I see.
In my opinion, the only way to bring these infections down in the short term is to go in to lock down for at least a month. With only one max outing per day for food shopping or medicine only.
Everything else, could be delivered.
