No not true.
We haven’t had a death in months. We only had a lot of deaths in the Melbourne flare up where Covid also penetrated or got into 27 odd nursing homes, and respite centres. There the death rate was astronomical.
Anyone who catches Covid in Australia - they say it’s impossible as we have only had 1 community transmission in the last week and that person was once again an employee of our medical hotels which are used to quarantine returning Aussie expats from overseas.
Chance of dieing from Covid in Australia is zero. Zilch!
Chances of getting Covid as it stands today is also close to zilch - unless the virus escapes our quarantine centres which is possible. But even if it does escape the chances of it spreading is zilch because of the rapid response and contact tracing we have hear.
And the actions our government takes, they have locked down state borders within the country before. Even locked down a major city (Melbourne) for something like 3 months.
They even kick down suburbs. With police check points.
When you see those you think you are in Israel. Police check points and even the army was out on the streets and manning check points.
What you can guarantee is that Australia would be extremely draconian when it comes to containing Covid. And extremely efficient and effective.
