I have seen pictures of ak8nci in his office with a portrate of attaturk on the wall behind him.
I hear that varosha was owned by some ottoman pasha and that is why it belngs to the t.c. as if they are heirs of it dispute the ottoman empire doesn't exist.
The t.c act like colonialists and discriminate against the gc with Turkey.
What's that all about?
The tc think and act like they are heirs of the ottomans. They constantly make references to it and that's why Turks have a right in Cyprus.
So excuse me and any one else that gets the impression the t.c are Turkish and agrees with them.
If it thinks, acts, believes and talks like a Turk, isnt it a Turk?
Max, with due respect, I think you have been listening to Trump a little bit too much!
In general, I do not personally disagree with your above statements and I personally do not support the “trnc” in any shape or form, nor do I support the political aspirations of those in the north which are different from the EU member Republic of Cyprus. However, as a citizen of the RoC that I am along with thousands of other TCs who became citizens from the birth of the RoC in 1960 and since, you nor anyone else, cannot characterize any citizen of any country as a foreigner if they have a different views than yours for whatever the reasons may be. You cannot claim you are a native or “true citizen” and others are not regardless of political circumstances in Cyprus. Your original quote is a very dangerous one, which tries to disenfranchise TCs from their rightful place as citizens of Cyprus. Until due process is applied by any country to strip anyone of their citizenship and their rights from such claims, said citizens remain as citizens and are not foreigners when they hold their frightful citizenship afforded to then by the state. Until such an event happens, ALL Cypriots who are citizens of the RoC maintain their place as citizens and not as foreigners.
This is my last word on this in this thread, but will be happy to continue if this topic is moved to a new thread.
