You always blamed the state government of Victoria, not only for strict lockdown and curfew, but also closing it’s state lines to neighbouring states, and yet, your federal government is locking all of Australians borders to outside world.

What the fuck is going on down under for fuck sake? Where is the rational for all this and why is it happening?

All the States kikapu.

But the Victoria one is by far the worst!

What's happening Kikapu, is we have lost all our freedoms. We can't travel overseas. Can't go to Cyprus FFS.

There are American citizens, and citizens of other countries that are permanent residents overseas, who can't go home. There are Australian Citizens that are unable to come home. many thousands of people.

There are workers who haven't seen their families for over 6 months. now. Such as Resource sector. They are fly in and fly out. But because that imbecile also shut his borders. the companies they work for pay for their hotels in Perth for their downtime.

Yes the Feds have closed out borders. But they are looking to relax these restrictions soon. The problem is, the States won't let people in.

The Feds have always said that opening state lines is the first priority. The feds have over reacted as well. For instance, travel restrictions.

There was a woman that lives close to the NSW and Queensland border who had a miscarriage because they wouldn't let her cross the border to the nearest hospital. It's literally a debacle.

People getting arrested for facebook posts now as well. there is a major demonstration this weekend in Melbourne. They are arresting the organizers. They didn't do that for BLM.

And here I’m thinking that the only problem to Australia was China, but turns out the problem is the whole of Australia.

I am really sorry to hear all the crap that is going there right now as I have quite a few friends living over there.

I still do not get the rational for such extreme actions in a Democratic country. :?

China is a problem for Australia.

There is a sense from the public that holds China very much responsible for this global crisis.

Plus, Australia just busted a major espionage network, and they ordered a Chinese Embassy to shut down. They are planning to tell the Adelaide Consulate to leave Australia as well.

The reason is they just arrested an Australian Journalist in China.

The other thing that is happening in Australia is the federal Government just annulled a major treaty with China which allows them to invest in Australia and there is discussion that the Port of Darwin will be forcibly purchased by the Australian Government otherwise they will force it to be shut down.

China is a major problem for the world. To pretend that they are not is very naive, and countries which do not remain vigilant against China will find themselves owned by them. The problem with accepting Chinese investment is that Chinese companies are strategically controlled by the CCP in China. They behave like loan sharks.

That’s just it, LR, that vast majority of countries are not acting in an irrational ways as Australia is.

A small snippet.

What's dominated the UK news in the past week, as per about 6 months now?

The truth:

Selection of a number of UK deaths in the past week:

Covid - 8

Cancer - 452

Alzheimer’s - 141

Chronic lower respiratory diseases - 51

Suicides - 18

RTAs - 5

I wouldn't call it irrational. Heavy handed.

The Government just won't allow tourism, people to visit unless its urgent and the reason is to keep the COVID numbers down. And they were down until the Victorian Government stuffed things up.

What the issue here now is the prolonged lock downs in Victoria. The State of Emergency has just been extended for another 6 months. People are fatigued.

And under the State of Emergency, they have massive powers to restrict freedom of movement, travel, and many more things.

The Federal Government instructed Australian Citizens to get home, but now won't let anyone in the country. Dual citizens in Australia but who are permanent residents elsewhere like the US for example, are not allowed to leave. Families therefore have been split interstate and cant get home. We can't travel overseas. There are international flights. They bring a few aussies home, who have to isolate in hotels for 2 weeks at heir cost. No contact with the public or their families. Planes leaving Australia virtually empty and only carrying Australian Exports now. this is what is happening.

There were news reports today of a pregnant mother being arrested in her home for a facebook post.

These are the things other people have warned you all about. There does appear to be significant loss of freedoms, to the point Australia isn't the same country as it was a year ago.

Better than being a COVID country.

The restrictions are only tough in the State of Victoria. The other states are pretty good.

The only thing the Government needs to intervene and quash is the travel restrictions between Queensland, NSW, SA, WA, Tasmania and NT. These States are virtually COVID free.

Just keep Victorian Borders closed for a bit, only until they get into single digits.

And to let Australians travel overseas.

But keep everyone else out!

Cyprus and Greece are blacklisted countries.

USA is also on the blacklist. They are only only letting in people from 12 countries. UK is blacklisted. Germany is blacklisted as well. France is blacklisted. China is blacklisted.

Singapore, NZ, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Canada are ok.

I quite like it there actually. Been what must be a dozen times over the years I imagine. On my last extravaganza, just before the war started last January, I crossed from Perth to Sydney on a 4 day train journey. Right across the outback. Amazing country. You could probably drop Europe there and it would take a week to find it. Don’t imagine I shall get back again. Which is a great shame. I have an open invitation in Brisbane.

I'm currently in Adelaide. I probably will get to Brisbane a couple of times a month, but most of our work right now is ex Canberra and Sydney. RPT is at 25% capacity. Executive is probably still 80%so we are quite lucky in that respect.

We are getting a lot of Government, medical and emergency services work, keeping the cash flow up for our company.

No, no, that’s fine. So, it’s into Adelaide and then Learjet across to Brisbane then. Sorted. 8)
