So, let’s have less talk on the chart’s meanings and more talk on the numbers tested.

Have you watched the youtube video RW posted yet Kikapun https://youtu.be/54XLXg4fYsc ? Looked at and played with the interactive data analysis site that it is describing ? https://aatishb.com/covidtrends/

If not I would urge you, as someone who imo is not a total donkey, to do so.

I did watch the YouTube RW posted. I was mainly commenting the 4 days of stats Paphitis was bragging that the Coronavirus cases were dropping.

I was just worried that the 'good stuff' from RW link got buried under paphitis' verbiage. Good to know in your case it did not. One of the 'clever' things about that chart , by plotting new confirmed cases vs total cases to date, at least as I have got my head around it, is immune / protected to a degree from the problem you have pointed out in Paphtis' use of graphs with time on the x axis ? Which (if I am correct) is all part of the reason why it unlike just about every other I have seen is so effective at squeezing information out of the limited raw data we do have.

But of course Paphitis always knew and understood this, just as Trump always knew we were dealing with a pandemic long before lesser mortals did and called it such. For the record Paphitis that 'slur' is aimed at YOU. Any slur towards Trump is merely collateral damage, unavoidable in slurring you.

As far as I can see, neither RW’s or Paphitis’s Charts mention numbers of daily tests conducted. For example, if Australia’s new cases show a decline in the last 4 days indicating to an observer that they have turned the corner, and that would be valid if number of people tested now are same or greater than numbers as before, but if it is much less people tested now as before the 4 days, they you can chalk it up as junk interpretation of turning the corner for the better.

When you are plotting weekly new positive vs total positives and say there is no testing for a whole week, then the plot point ends up unmoved from before (no sign of breaking away from the exponential curve) because although there has been no new cases from no testing there has also been no movement in total new cases either.

I may have got that badly wrong. Am not sure ? On the off chance I have not that is what I meant by 'immunity'

Just heard on EURO NEWS that Belarus, a nation of around 10 million, only has 100 confirmed cases with no deaths.
The President, Alexander Lukashenko adviced Bellarussians to drink ...vodca and wash their hands with vodka !!
Perhaps its time for me to rest the wine.and start on the vodca.
By the way, about 20 years ago I started having the annual flu injection. In 20 years I have never had a cold. It works for me, aided of course by my red wine.

America has had a fascination with Corona-carrying bats for the last few years...

"For example, with NIH and DARPA support, CSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences researchers Dick Bowen and Tony Schountz are actively working with MERS coronavirus in bats and camels to understand the role of these hosts in transmitting disease to humans. They have also created artificial ecosystems to study virus transmission between species in “real-world” conditions, while Rebekah Kading is funded by the Department of Defense to sample bats in Africa for viral loads to help build capacity for infectious disease responses worldwide."

Just how much coincidence is still coincidence?

“The Western Asia Bat Research Network”

It does exist...

http://www.wabnet.org/

Now guess who FUNDS it...

“This research is funded by the (US) Department of the Defense, Defense Threat Reduction Agency.”

"The US is building a bioweapons lab in Kazakhstan"

"When it opens in September 2015, the laboratory in Almaty will serve as a way station for a global war on disease"

Fast-forward by 5 years and indeed we have a global war... on mankind!

There's a serious competition going on in this forum. Who can come up with the most bonkers and substantially unsupported conspiracy theories. From the people who brought you "There's no evidence at all to support the case that Russia had anything to do with the murder of Alexander Litvinenko or attempted murder of Sergei Skrypal"

Batty!

...if it were true, that this virus is man made, and thus so too the crisis, it implies that "Capitalism" (read: the 1%) has reached some critical stage where massive injections into the world economy are needed.

...it is not the death and destruction that these conspirators are looking for, but (control of) the economic boom that will occur following this mayhem.
