Now fourteen people have come down with a bug you have a 99.9% chance of surviving and with which there is an 80% chance of having no symptoms whatsoever.

So the fact that nations coming out of lock-downs and opening their airports giving the virus a new impetus, is now interpreted as “lock-downs don’t work” eh... :)

I guess you’ve abandoned your old...

“Sweden’s successful herd immunity”

What a couple of clowns you are, forever adjusting your daftness to save face!

Compared to where ? Cyprus ? Sweden ? UK ?

Just keep ignoring the facts to date, because your have to. NZ orders of magnitude less death per head of population to date than places like UK and Sweden. Less days with restrictions on citizens to date than UK and Sweden and everywhere else. Q2 GDP figures are not yet in but its looking like there will also have been less economic contraction than places like UK and Sweden in this quarter.

Of course you can not accept this plain reality simply because your zealotry says 'lock down bad' and NZ has and is using temporary and localised lock down to achieve these world beating results. So instead of reviewing the theory 'lock down bad' in light of the evidence , you just ignore the evidence and blather and whittle on as usual, contradicting not just the plain facts but your own prior claims to boot. Nice work.

We actually had tickets for Hobbiton but decided to pass and return to Auckland from Rotorua...

Just in passing...

Wiki wrote:Rotorua is a major destination for both domestic and international tourists; the tourism industry is by far the largest industry in the district.

I guess the place is booming now then...?

Mrs LR was a bit naughty. She pinched a pine cone from Bag End garden.

We were there at the same time!

Ahh, the good ole days. Not a social distance or mask in sight.

We should have taken in the message on the route back. All the Singapore Airline dollys were wearing masks, as were at least half the people in the Changi terminals. Plus, they were heat checking everyone going through. The implications went over our heads at the time though. :(

This is what the virus hysteria has brought us to...

I actually saw this and liked this arrest,

That young girl should be ashamed of herself. All the police officer did was ask her where her mask was. She gave him the middle finger. So then her asked for ID to issue a $200 fine. She refused to provide information. So police officer arrests her for a minor charge of refusing to provide ID. Then all hell breaks loose.

Then the stupid girl resists and kicks another female police officer. Now they have her on resisting and assaulting a police officer. In Australia, there is a mandatory 6 month minimum sentence if you assault a police officer. So now she is going to jail.

Hope she enjoys it. Everyone is totally fed up with her like.

Good take down by Victorian Police.

Didn’t you know that there are cunt cops everywhere?

Police officer did his job. Can’t ignore such stupidity. She broke the law by not complying with state of emergency laws that every citizen must comply with. If the police ask for ID, then you give it to them, not be an arsehoke.

If you are an arsehole and assault them on top, then get 6 months jail. The laws are clear.

This girl is going to get an education and maybe learn some manners behind bars.

I don't doubt she was being a bit of a twat...

The question is, what have we come to when police are patrolling the streets making sure people are wearing masks...? Outside in the open...? :?

They are of dubious value inside... But in the open? Just her and her boyf and the police had nothing better to do than stop her to impose a fine...?

And you support that?
