Actually, Sweden is not alone messing up with Covid-19 by not having a lockdown.
You can add UK and USA for having delayed a lockdown as high new cases & death rates keep on continuing.
Lets not talk about the South American countries whom mostly followed Sweden's plan with bad results, countries like Brasil & Chile. Russia, Mexico, India and few other countries are also paying the high price now.
Perhaps they are hoping to be better prepared for any follow up waves in the future with Covid-19.

Forget the 1st quarter as it means nothing. Let’s look at the 2nd quarter when it comes out and let’s see if it followed the first quarter’s trend, especially when her neighbouring countries are now keeping their borders closed with Sweden because of high rate of new cases.
If Sweden rates their economy over number of deaths, especially their elderly, I will have to see them in a different light from here on. Yes, let the old die so that we can spend our inheritance a little earlier at the local pubs and restaurants.
Thanks grandma and grandpa. Cheers!
