My direct ancestors lived in this region for over 5000 years. Before the Ottoman invasion, before the Roman invasion and even before the Greek Greek Invasion.

The real question is how mant GCs believe Cyprus is Greek and they are also Greek? it really is not rocket science. It does not have to be precise. Just to the nearest 10% will do.

Ok I can guess how many from the non-Akel emebers are like that. How many Akel members are like that, any idea?

Just consider the past elections. In all of them (decades) both "Greeks" and "Turks" field their candidates; have they ever won overwhelmingly?

How do you know? How do you know if you predate Roman or Greek era's of Cyprus? As far as I know no one can trace their lineage that far. How do you know you're a linobambakos anyway? You could've been transferred over with the Ottomans?

If you are not aware of how you can trace back your original linage back to where and when it originated, learn it.

As to the Ottomans, considering they did not invade where my linage began, my ancestors could not have been brought to Cyprus by the Ottomans. There is not only biological evidence but also cultural evidence as to why I am not Turkish. The fact that I can speak Turkish is purley coincidental.

When it comes to living in the north and desecration of culture, I got news for you minimus, my ancesters has lived in my house since 1810s. Same house like, you know what I mean.
