You lost me RW.

Cypriots can be Cypriots and they are Cypriots in the RoC.

Just like a German or a Brit can be in the RoC and still be a German or a Brit.

The RoC and the GC's are not going to change to suit Turkish machinations via the TC's in Cyprus.

...this goes without saying.

Yet, i remind you that, toward "Turkishness", Turkish Cypriots are the biggest threat. What divides Cyprus, now divides Turkey, too. Also something to think about. "Picnics", what more can Erdogan do to piss us off, the People?

...some will resign themselves to believing the island will remain, one way or the other, torn in two forever. While others may see in the word "ENOSIS" (and/or TAKSIM,) real change, in that they take back the word from "Them", under the flag that "They" treat as a rag, the flag which rightfully belongs to all of them; the Flag of Cyprus. And what better way than to take back our beaches, peacefully?

...Cypriots, make souvla too. And the point is that Cypriots in solidarity change not just themselves, but Turkey; also in need of (the same) Constitutional Reform.

Speaking of deadlines, Erdogan has one too: Turkey's Centennial in two years (along with elections for their President). I ask, who will he betray between the Peace he may have with the rest of the world, and "Cypriot Turks", his National cause (among many). It would not be a hard choice for him if he could point to Cypriots, to say as such that they exist: and in so doing providing Hope to all those Turkish not "Turkish". Indeed, there are lots of reasons to get back on the train he calls democracy, he would gladly take that leap with the right opportunity; much rests on the Cypriot people, what they will do with such an existential question, how they will react together facing the same adversary.

...the occupation is illegal. Like the "Turks" who cannot imagine that such a Person exists, as a Cypriot, i do not recognise their authority. Cyprus, in my mind is one. You won't find me speaking differently. Silenced are Cypriots; this much is true since they went missing or were murdered, by "them". I do not forget. And i know my enemy is Ignorance; the same ignorance that comes from dogmas like "Turkishness", no different to the "Greekness" that has brought us so much harm.

Indeed Canada, and the USA are good examples of what Cypriots could "be"; they are BBF's in (i think,) their purest forms.

Indeed, the RoC exists; in need of Constitutional Reform. Such as it is Cypriot Constituencies already exist, (i.e. the Communal Chamber,) like in Canada with many Nations, and/or in the USA having many states.

...unfortunately, we cannot rely on our Leadership, if such a People as Cypriots exist; it appears that "Greekness" and "Turkishness" are adversaries, where, (to this State), "They" are the adversary.

...honestly Max, do you really think that the RoC is fine the way it is?

Was it not Makarios that said the the only Cypriots are the donkeys.

What is the percentage of GCs that do not see themselves as Greek?

Eoka day 1963.

Bombs exploded and gun fire to commemorate EOKA day, Makarios at one meeting said:

" As we bow before their graves, we hear the commanding voices of our martyrs Beyond the Graves, march forward"

I was at a meeting the other day and a progressive Journalist the other day said that GCs originated from Athens. My jaw dropped to the floor. How can that view persist to this day from even before 1963.

My question still unanswered. What percentage of Cypriots see themselves as Greek rather than Cypriot?

What does it matter?

Freedom of identification, belief and assembly is a cornerstone of democracy.

believe it or not, there are Greeks that are Cypriot.

If you have a problem with how other people identify, you are a fascist.

I have no issue with people identifying themselves as Greek. What I have issue with is their view that Cyprus is Greek. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuullll Chite

There is also the matter of DNA - GCs DNA is nowhere near enough anything like Greek DNA. In fact GC DNA is closer to TC DNA and Greek DNA to the Turks. But of course you do not believe in evolution and all that mallarkey, like, you know what I mean.

What do you mean exactly that you have an issue with Cyprus being Greek?

80% of the population speak Greek, they have greek names, their religion is Greek Orthodox. Most of the cultural heritage in Cyprus is Greek / Byzantine.

Just FYI.

Most GC's DNA has 20% Greek markers in it, that is the dominant trace and there is no pure race DNA. It doesn't exist. Everyone has traces of other races in their DNA.

Some TC's have DNA close to their GC counterparts because they were converted to Islam by the Ottomans. others dont.

Some Turks have predominant Greek base markers in their DNA too because they were stolen by the Ottomans, and raised as Turks.

And Some TC's have dominant trace markers closer to Turkish Anatolian's.

So when you say you have an issue with Cyprus being Greek, you are just repeating BS soundbites without any real consideration to what you are actually saying.

You see? people like you are the problem.

In the north people who refer to themselves as Turkish and Cyprus is Turkish are the swines that do not want BBF.

You also do not want BBF and also you see yourself as Greek, and are the other side of the same coin. This is exactly what ELAM think and there is a lot of GCs who think like ELAM and just refuse to understand that there is very little difference between them and you for that matter.
