Indeed it is time to overcome our fears. But it takes politicians who are fearless and we had two of these. They said it how it is and how it should be. Unfortunately the GC people have not been so lucky. They have had absolute cowards who are afraid to look out of the window never mind come out and say it like it is.

How do you expect people to wake up when they lack leaders who instead of being fearless they are scared of their own shadow.

Interesting how constitutional order failed and how it is decscribed. This asshole who claims to be a Professor no less simply says it broke down. Not how Makarios ignored the Constitutional Court order which started the civil war and why? Notice Enosis not mentioned once.

It is the most comfortable place in Cyprus. Interesting that the comments have been turned off.

I agree with every single thing Nami said. Particularly exchange of Varosha with opening Ercan airport and and Famagusta sea port. In fact I posed this to Anastasiades when he visited London and held a meeting in London. Unfortunately, at that point He was allowing 3 people at the time to ask their questions and I was the first person. He did not bother answering my question and went on to answer the question regarding giving medal to EOKA fighters.

Another point made by Nami is who are the external circles that do not want to have an agreement as being the Russians. In fact I said this many times in this forum.

But the suggestion by the reporter that GC side wants a Federal Solution was actually laughable. Nami did answer him when he said what the GC side want is endless negotiations.

Nami has got it spot on. We were very lucky to have such a negotiator in the talks.

Even more interesting is the fact that Varoshites and the Omorfites voted no to the 2004 plan even though they were getting their properties back.

Unrelated but it’s such a pain to watch an obviously intelligent interviewee being frustrated by a moron interviewer with pre set questions that doesn’t understand the answers.

If people are unhappy about the interview, they can post their informed questions here and I shall contact Nami and get them answers.

Lets face it the ink was not dry on the agreement for setting up the RoC and the President started the the work on the Akritas Plan to dismantle RoC and make it a province of Greece. Add to that Makarios instead of allowing the number of seats to be allocated according to the vote, decided to ignore the vote and give 30 seats to EOKA sympathizers and 5 to Akel. Add to that before even implementing the constitution Makarios wanted to change it. I mean how crazy is that? A Lunatic will always behave like a lunatic. But it seems unless you are a lunatic you cannot become a President of RoC.

What else is there to say?
