Early this morning, my friend Harry of 40 years also passed away in California from brain cancer at the age of 89.

I am glad I had the chance to see them again on my last trip to California in January this year.

On a possible good news, my 68 year old brother in London who has been on the ventilator machine for the last 8 days due to Coronavirus infection, we have been told today that he will be taken off the machine in the next 2-3 days and awoken if all goes well, then spend another 2-3 in the hospital to recover. Fingers crossed.

That sounds positive for your brother.

Wish all goes well for him.

Just started reading this topic a few days ago, and finished it today.
We 've been friends and "allies in the forum" with Kikapu for a long time and I thought I knew him well.
I now realized I was not even close.
I was impressed Kiks congratulations! I kind of envy you for the warmth in your heart.

I personally don't like returning to the past, I strike off from my list anything "old" including friends.
I also don't like visiting hospitals or people who are dying.
What really excites me is everything new!

I guess that's the reason I generally keep out of CF.

PS. What you wrote was actually "new" to me. I will remember it for a long time.Thank you.

Thanks, Pyro,

You know, I value people a great deal and friends even more. I have friends going back to childhood in the UK which we keep in touch now and then. It is not important to see everyone or talk to them on regular basis, but only when it is possible for both sides. On my last visit to London early January before my San Francisco trip, MR-from-NG and I had arranged to meet for a drink at a pub and we ended up spending about 3 hours together having a great time enjoying Gin & Tonics along with a great Fish & Chips, and you know the number of time he and I had nasty exchanges here in the forum. I hope to meet with him on my next visit to London whenever the restrictions on air travel are lifted. I hope I will get the chance to meet with you too one day.

Good meeting with Kikapu
