Look at the graphs. Try and understand them. Some countries governments ARE and HAVE made a difference by their actions. The USA is NOT ONE OF THEM yet.
USA is on the exponential line like every other country is apart from a select few. Australia is also on the same line until 4 days ago. All the EU is on the same line and worse.
Why is that Trump's fault?
If it's Trump's fault, then it's also the EU's fault.
Correct. Places that have done better are clearly shown on the graph. US is not one of them and EU is not one of them. China is. Do not like or trust china's figures. OK look at South Korea. They are doing better because their leaders did better. Better than EU has done to date and better than US has done to date. You claimed 'there was nothing Trump could have done'. The data says otherwise. It is likely that the USA will be one of the LAST countries to buck the curve but time will tell. What is a just a clear reality is that Trump could have done much better. He could have achieved what South Korea has. Instead he went around saying and doing things for 2 months that were the opposite of what places like South Korea were doing. The American people are paying the price.
that is if you believe the statistics, which I don't. One of those countries is China and we are not going to go down that road or shut down the country completely and kill off the economy completely.
All this stuff is beyond the control of most countries. I am not going to point a finger at Italy's or Spain's Leadership and blame them for anything, and I will not be blaming Trump either. The poor buggers are just victims themselves to a pandemic.
I am more inclined to point the finger at China.
What the data shows to me is that all countries will eventually dip below the exponential line. Some earlier than others.
For instance, Australia looks like it might be doing this now with exactly the same response as the USA. It's just a case of hanging in there for now. Our kids are still going to school and people are still going to work (in the most part) and the ideology behind that is that there has to be an economy afterwards otherwise the China Virus has defeated us.
