Robin, with due respect, may I remind you that speculators do not only concentrate their speculative moves on just one currency, in this case Sterling. Call it whatever you like the fact is that Brexit has done the pound NO good. It is the ONLY reason Sterling is down .It has never recovered from it's pre referendum levels and I very much doubt it ever will. Brexit is anathema for British economy and in time I believe " leavers" will realize it. I cant see the benefits of Brexit to either our economy or to the British public. The nonsensical arguments presented by the Clown, now the PM as well as the biggest arsehole in the country, namely Farage , will sooner rather than later be seen for what they are.
I still think that the very vast majority of those who voted leave are not only sitting on their brains but are bloody stupid too.

Look on the bright side Milti. Shares in Tesla dropped another 8% Friday. Making it 45% since January. That took them below Musk’s bonus threshold, meaning he lost $350 million. Which, I suspect, is small change to him. :D

Of course the current " turmoil" in the markets is entirely due to Covid-19.
Around 2 months ago I sold all my shares apart from XRP which I have marked down
for the grandchildren, so its a long term investement. Tim Drayton, who lives just across the road from me and whom I see almost every evening knows of my " departure" from the markets. I felt that I no longer enjoyed the " game" lost all interest.
May I however say that in other areas my interest is very much on the up

Cheers !!

Trading at below or just over 1.11 against the Euro. Bucket man take note. As the saying goes what goes up must come down especially when its weighted down by Plonkeritis virus as well as a load of the Brexshit virus

Another keeper!

How (even more) stupid you are going to look CoCo when Sterling recovers again...

Yes Sterling will recover when we have some encouraging news about our economy . Nothing would pl3as3 me more to see Britain becoming economically a healthy nation. However stupidity generally isn't conducive to economic health. Brexit will go down in history as the worst and stupidest action ever taken by Britain.
Remember the vast majority of leavers havethe same brain as you have, basically one singular cell infevted by utter stupidvirus

The sterling hasn’t collapsed now has it?

1.11 isn’t really something to worry about now is it?

And these are also very uncertain times and the way things are going, economies around the world are going to decline. I would put my money on Europe being the worst area after China.

Europe and China seem to be the epicentre for Coronavirus so I wouldn’t be making big claims if I were you. Generally though, economic headwinds are now very strong everywhere.

Yes, Coronavirus is what is to be blamed. There is zero chance that the British economy will survive the fallout. There is little chance anyone will survive. Some will do better than others though.

And on that account, UK has outperformed the EU on all indicators for the last few years.

Speculators you say?

The global wealth has gone beyond speculation now. They are looking for the safe havens. The Euro isn’t a safe haven.

The USD, Swiss Franc and Gold are safe havens.

They are now looking to preserve their funds and preserve their wealth.

Yep I fly planes for a living.

I don’t claim to be an economics expert like you do. I only read and evaluate and post facts with links which you seem to ignore because they do not suit you.

My 7 figure debt is doing well for me as well. I use the money to make money. And I have made more money doing the things I do on the side than I have from flying planes.

And you call yourself an accountant. If you are an account, I’m a NASA astronaut!
