Let’s see if the high 5’s by the Brexiteers still be there when NI and Scotland leave the Union?

Just like the Brexiteers, I will be doing high 5’s too when NI and Scotland exit what will be left of the UK.

Be careful what you ask for, because you may not like what you might end up with.

Scotland won't leave...

After Brexit they'd have to apply to re-join the EU, accept the €uro and detach themselves from the teat of the English taxpayers - you think they are really going to do that...?

A hard border with England!

You think they want a hard border with their biggest trading partner?

Unless oil suddenly jumps to a billionteen Dollars a barrel, Scotland would be fucked as an independent nation...

And remember, the EU will have a huge hole in its budget - you think it will be able to throw cash at Scotland like it is going out of fashion...? Dream on...

Of course Scotland would need to apply to the EU to become a sovereign member this time around. Don’t you think they know that?

You now have a very divided country and everything is possible. Don’t dismiss Scotland an NI seceding from the Union so casually.

I know all the Brexiteers would love to see the EU bankrupt and broken up because UK is no longer a member soon. More premature wishful thinking. More sign of hate and fascistic feelings towards the EU which the UK has been a member for 40+ years. Some loyalty? I can only think the EU is happy to see the backs of all the crybaby EMPs from the UK as good riddance to bad rubbish!

I can’t say I would blame them. Would you?

I think Kikapu's predictions are spot on. Didn't Scotland hold an Independence vote back in 2014? Why would't they hold another one again? NI has already become 3rd party in all this by the sheer fact that I have to fill in all sorts of fucking export forms to my customers there. Brexshit is a nightmare.

If I was Boris I'd give them another vote tomorrow... and the day after...

But I think in the cold light of day they'll realise on which side their bread is buttered...

In fact, I'd let the English have a vote too - they'd be gone by Sunday!

You think it is too fucking difficult to fill in a few forms - how would Scotland manage with a hard border between it and England eh, EH???

Too many fucking smilies this time...

Too many similes, too many posts. What a bloody stupid software as you said. Anyway, one thing O totally agree with you is to just sit back, take each day as it comes and see what happens. Take care old timer.

From elsewhere...

After calling everyone nasty names because she didn't get what she wanted, multi-millionaire luvvie cretin 'Lily Allen' has now deleted her Twitter account - the very oxygen of her narcissistic existence.

No, I don't think they do...

Remember in the last one they couldn't even say what currency they'd be using after 'independence'...

Scottish independence has been sold on the lie that thy'd be self sufficient because of oil revenues...

After Brexit they'll get their fisheries back... If they rejoined the EU they'd lose them again...

Scotland is a basket case and I doubt if the EU would even let them in...

Cyprus has had a seismic shift since joining the EU...

Everything is more expensive. 19% VAT apart from anything else... The fuckers cream off 19% of almost everything I spend... Why?

Fuel is much more expensive...

Electricity is going to be even more expensive next year as the EU fines us for having the wrong generators...

I wonder how some Cypriots can even afford to live now.

Everything to do with the EU.

All because they were used on living on a false economy. It feels seismic because they were in a world of their own. Joining the EU was a wake up call for them. They became part of the "real world" by joining.

If the RoC has similarities with north Cyprus then the shit would've hit the fan as soon as they joined. In the north people my age were retired decades ago. If you did 10 years in the army it counted double, that's 20 years. Another 5 years here and there and you got your state pension. Some retired at 35 and then got a second job for some years, and then the 3rd job and now they're picking up 3 pensions. Half of the adult population in the north were picking up pensions by the time they were 40.

I wouldn't be surprised if this went in the RoC until the shit hit the fan.

I fucking hate this 5 posts restriction.

Yes, it is shite... and the "you've just made a fucking post!" restriction...

I'm on about the huge costs that EU membership has lumped on the ordinary citizen...

VAT, fuel the electric... Everything more expensive solely due to EU membership...

And for what in return...?

Oh yes, I can get a parcel shipped from Amazon without having to go to the post office and pay duty on it...

Cyprus would be better off out...

Are you saying the 20% VAT in the UK will be reduced drastically once it is formally out of the EU? Cheap petrol? Really? :D

Well...

The EU sets VAT at a minimum of 15% does it not...?

The total VAT collected by member states is used as part of the calculation to determine what each state contributes to the EU's budget. Is it not...?

So yeah... If you aren't sending £13Bn to the EU every year there is no reason why VAT could not be reduced...

Well then, I am looking forward to VAT in the UK at about 10% or less soon. That should make some savings on my pint of Guinness next time I’m in London. Fat chance!

The BREXIT gridlock is what divided people. Once it is all done, then that issue is out the way.

Once it's done and the UK economy moves n and continues to grow, no one will ever want to be a part of the EU ever again.

Now that the UK has a real Government, people can move on to the real issues and the healing will begin.

Scotland had their vote, so they will need to wait about 15 to 20 years for the next one. plus I doubt the majority of them want to leave. I for one would celebrate cutting the Scots loose. The Scots are some of the worse people ever. They will never buy you a beer at the bar.
