IMO: The UK will become a US puppet State like Australia and end up paying for US Protection ..... until the SHTF and then you won't see them for dust as the Kurds found out! Then the UK government will end up paying billions in compensation to US Hospitals that open in the UK and then claim the NHS is being illegally subsidised and it has affected their profits ....... similar things happened in Canada and they ended up paying US companies billions in compensation.
Under Labour the UK would have seen National Debt vanish, no more interest to the Banks as interest on government debt (
£84bn in 2018), more jobs, improvements in public transport, improvements all round in social care and benefits, billions more spent on Education and the NHS ..... all gone down the pan because of a campaign of lies and deception to support The Elite and The Bankers interests! All because the majority of people don't have any more of a clue about what it is all about, than you do!
We are no puppet state of the US. We have a very clear foreign policy direction that sometimes differs substantially to the US.
But we are very happy to have the US as our ally. They are literally our best pals. Along with Canada, NZ and the UK, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea and of course, now France, in a very big way. Australian/French strategic partnership has come together in an extremely substantial way to the point we call each other partners and this partnership is strategic and a military partnership. It's an amazing revival that one after the French nuclear tests in the Pacific which basically caused France, Australia and NZ to withdraw all Consulates and cease diplomatic relations. Now we are seeing French Warships in Australia helping us with maintaining a strategic balance against China.
In fact all these countries are extremely close. The Singaporian Air Force for instance is completely based at RAAF Schwerger. We all help each other out.
The US, UK, Australia, Canada, and NZ are especially close and there is nothing wrong with that and we are all happy with it. This partnership will never cease to exist. get over it.
The US has done and continues to do a lot of good for us all. You don't like them but your feelings are not founded on reality or common sense. I can understand many Cypriots not liking the US a great deal, because they got a taste of the nasty side of US geostrategic policy which was in support of NATO ally Turkey and I also am not happy with it. But that aside, the US has not faulted or shown us a nasty side and it never will. In fact, they will spill blood for us, have spilled blood for us and will always have our backs.
The US is our mate, like the UK is also.
the US is the country that basically keeps us all together. Without the US, the entire Western Block collapses. Taiwan will get run-over by China. that's 24 million ethnic Chinese subjugated under a regime they want no part of (mush like all the Hong Kongers) because they have an open and liberal society which is very dynamic and wealthy. It's the US that has Taiwan's back as well so apart from the occasional "nasty" side, they do a hell of a lot of good around the world too. Such as defeat ISIS and much more.
We get along with them because we have the same values and systems of democracy as them. The same level of human rights and free speech, although they have more than we do under Their Bill of Rights.
