Well looks like the Surrender Bill might be illegal

Postby Paphitis » Thu Sep 12, 2019 2:57 pm

It could be illegal for BoJo to ask for an extension because of the supremacy of the Withdrawal Act which sets BREXIT withdrawal on the 31st of October.

So according to this, BoJo can't sign the letter in the Benn Bill and Brexit will ocur on Halloween Day.

How much would you risk on a bet that it will not happen? Bojo said "we will leave on the 31st of October come what may". I'll take any bet from you that this will not happen. Bets accepted in any currency of your choice. Pound Sterling would be best but I'll leave that to you. Outside bets accepted.

With such small odds you don't even sound sure of yourself!

Give me 5 to 1, if I win you give the money to a charity of my choosing and I will do the same if you do. I will wager 100 pounds on those odds. Are you in??

Sorry but I don't gamble online or have dealings with questionable people I don't know on the internet.

You are going to have to wait and see, but BoJo is sticking to his guns and proceeding with BREXIT as if nothing has happened so you would think he has something under his sleeve or the gentleman in the video I posted is actually correct.

There are laws already in place which have fixed BREXIT in place and the Benn Bill might not be able to supersede this law.

Meanwhile BoJo continues with BREXIT which is really his only option. He knows he needs to deliver come what may otherwise his Government is finished and the Torie Party is also finished.

It is much better for him to go to jail for 3 months and protect his legacy than to cave in and be known as the man that destroyed the Tories. And of course, if the bennn Bill is illegal, he won't be going to jail at all.

And he will go to the next election and deliver a landslide to the Tories.

B25, nobody knows what will happen, we're all speculating, going with our gut feeling. I like giving to charity and I'm happy to go along with your suggestion but my odds are fair and realistic so my offer stands at 2 to 1.

Ladbrokes will give you 25.00 if you think the GE will take place in the month of October
They will give you 4.00 if you think the UK will leave before Nov 1st with no deal.
They will give 3.00 on another UK EU referendum before the end of 2020.
They wlll give 3.75 on UK to revoke article 50 in 2019.

You have former supreme court justices saying the bill is watertight. The you have some extreme leaver nobody who describes himself as a layman, claiming that Parliament can not change the provisions of a former passed bill after the fact because that is what he would like to be true. I know who I think is more credible.
