The minister said his ministry had zero tolerance for racism and xenophobic behaviour.

“The education ministry will show zero tolerance to racist and xenophobic behaviours,” he said.

Some of the pupils at the Apostolos Varnavas lyceum in the Nicosia district where the incident took place have called for abstention from classes on Monday in protest against the headmaster whom they called “conservative and racist”. They said the protest should continue until he is removed from his post.

A brief video taken on a mobile phone shows a man escorting a girl outside the school in a stern manner while pupils jeer on him and disapproving of the way he treated their fellow pupil.

Commenting on the fact that his actions were deemed racist, he said: “Schools do not raise Taliban”, according to the news portal.

lets see what the education minister will do his job or listen to the bishopwho has views on how gay people become gay while they are inside their mother's woumb.

Whilst in essentially Muslin countries westerners have to follow the local norms, whilst Muslims (Islam) is destroying Christina churches and culture and persecuting Christians the world over, seems that you are not labelled Racists or xenophobes, but, tell a F Muslim not to wear head scarf and all of a sudden we are the bad guys??? Well fuck me silly, the problem of the west is that they tolerate too much this Islamic shit and in the end it will come back to bite them. Do they honestly think that Muslims give a shit about Christians, its all one way traffic.

is it really one way traffic. now let see, france is a christian country and invaded algeria and vietnam stealing all their resources and imposing their will on them by running their country without so much as a how do you do in democracy and in the process killing millions of natives.

now tell me again how this is a one way street. how did this girl wearing a head scrafe is forcing you to follow islamic law. and infact it is not an islamic thing at all. it is a cultural thing not that i would expect you to understand.

do gc women or girls never wear headscarfs ever?

It's both religious and cultural.
As a cultural thing it even existed in Cyprus, most women in Cyprus would wear a scarf in the past. Don't know why, probably to project less of their beauties, probably because there were no hairdressers...

However not all cultural things are acceptable in Cyprus. A Korean may not come to Cyprus and start eating dogs, an Arab may not live in Cyprus and marry 2 or even 3 wives.

Compare what would happen to a Cypriot living in the Gulf who forgot to take his shoes off when entering an Arabic house.
Compare what would happen to a Cypriot taking his coffee in an Arabic hotel lounge, having his legs crossed...
Both of the these happened to me personally... :shock:

This didn't prevent me from entering a mosque when nobody was there just to see how it was inside. Too much luxury man, just like Kykkos monastery.
Also the first time I saw them at the hospital backyard spreading their rags en mass, bowing their asses up the sky to do their 3rd prayer out of 5 per day, I couldn't help myself from bursting to laughter non stop. Thank God there was no policeman around, My colleagues got terrified saying "what are you doing man are you crazy?"

Education Minister Costas Hambiaouris said on Saturday the issue of a Muslim pupil who was kicked out of her high school on Friday by the headmaster because she was wearing a headscarf was resolved and that the girl would go back to school on Monday.

if you don't understan what i am posting i can't help you unless of course you are confused about who i am replying to. i don't like to reply and build in inbedded posts as they take up too much space but its not really hard, follow the thread and you will understand fully what it has to do with whatever.
