Benny Hill would have made a great politician. He never said anything.

did he not claim that he was going to have the alternatives to backstop ready in a few years? but of course that was a lie too. there cannot be alternative to backstop because northern ireland has to be alligned to southern ireland to adhere to the good friday agreement and unless the whole uk is in a customs union we cannot have that. so really it is just one more lie that is coming home to roos. admittedly they never lied about this originaly because they did not realise about the significance of tgfa.

roll on 19th of october, it cannot come soon enough.

The juice of what I was interested to hear was between 12:19 and 13:43.
I watched that part 3 times trying to figure out what his proposal will be.
Any ideas and why that would be "a compromise by the UK"?

I think he is going to propose something like this:

cyprus47049-590.html#p887813

Which imo has high chances of been accepted by the EU.
The smart thing about it, is that it would preserve the gfa up until 2025 but from their on shift all responsibility on the shoulders of NI. Which of course would by then have no choice other than joining the EU as part of Ireland.
