he is not. trudeau is worth around 10 million. trump is worth 3 billion. trump inheritted 100 million from his dad. it must be his young looks, age, intelligence and to add insult to injury he is liked. all of these are worth more than money. trump is very needy, he loves to liked and hates not to be liked. he has the menatal maturity of 2 year old.

...Trudeau comes from a wealthy well established family, he does deny this. And he lives modestly despite visits on holiday to the Aga Khan.

His wealth is not "new" money, and while he is still not fully mature, as a Statesman he may have a better chance at changing the world (in his lifetime).

...indeed, he will learn to contain himself even more carefully; as a Canadian to be helpful, truthful, reasoned, generous with his kindness but reserved.
(he will learn to be far more cynical, and to take advantage of his charm). Indeed, if he does not better himself, he will be crushed by his own history.

...who is Trump, but a man who cannot change?

Canada is strong because with all its diversity it is a place where as a People, people respect a Rule of Law, and while Nations are important, they, the people as Individuals, are united, guided by the Universal Principals, as Canadians they defend. Indeed, hockey in Sikh is broadcast coast to coast, so what? Driving fines bilingual in Manitoba; English and Ukrainian, yes it's true. And yes, at the height of the world's concerns for Syrians' suffering, Canada the people who the sponsorship program took in Syrians in need, and Mr. Trudeau as a Government matched the effort (of Canadians who had as a sum sponsored 25,000 Syrians). It has been since the Vietnam War that this Program has allowed Canadians to show this Goodwill to anyone around the world, in need, as Individuals, or as Persons, be it a church group or a Town, they are housed and supported by these individuals for two years.

...the only ones who think like you, B25, do not actually live in Urban centers, or travel, and in affect have very little contact with "minorities", those not like "them". This exists in Cyprus, too. But for those who have taken this kindness, like in Quebec City, to this level, despite the extremes in Quebec politics, they all have successfully integrated into this society where their children may grow with far less fear, than in Syria.

...i like to think that there is less likelihood, in Canada, for any dogma to dominate any other. Despite the changing demographics, "Canada", as an identity is worth for more to the whole, as a whole. Quebec, their "French" like the "English" they hold in such contempt however does not disclude the existence of Canadians in their debates, try as ''they'' might, Canada, just as a Federation of Nations is more complex than that.

Sorry but I think its time to not hide behind the diversity charade.

We have pluralist societies yes, but the level of immigration in all of our countries are changing demographics to such an extent that our National Identities are changing to something we do not want.

It's got nothing to do with racism at all. Immigration needs to be slowed, or concentrate on western based European immigration which do not cause problems or have issues with adopting The Canadian way of life and values as European values are already on par or similar to Canada's.

From the Middle East there are millions of Christians who can also come, but that too would be sad because it will desecrate these populations in the Middle East.

I'm the product of migrants to Australia, and I also believe I am culturally tolerant of others but when you go to Sydney and see ghettos, you take notice and yes there are places you feel less safe. Things like that are not making us stronger. It's killing us.

I am well traveled and educated. You will find there are a lot of people who think like B25, including myself. We are denying our children opportunity and making society less safe as well. I don't even mind living in a Muslim country like UAE. In fact my wife is harassing me to take an opportunity there and move the family. And we are doing that as informed people as we have both been there and find it to be a very nice place.

Here is what will happen in Canada RW. If Trudeau continues with his current immigration trajectory, then Canada will vote in a populist neo conservative Government soon enough because only such a Government will actually look after Canadian interests and try and protect the Canadian National Identity. This is what is happen all over the world.

I want Canadian when I go to Canada, and Islam in the UAE.

Or you need to do is look at Germany, France, UK, Belgium and ask whether you want that society in Canada where even the police refuse to go into certain areas.

Right now there is a lot of push-back from Conservative parties. look at the UK now about to leave the EU. And these conservative movements are picking up the votes of the working class because the working class just want to protect their children and have jobs to feed them.

And Australia, and Canada too RW.

But what kind of immigration was it? Greeks, Italians, Germans, other Eastern and Western Europeans and so on.

We are not against this kind of immigration. In fact, if you ask any American, Australian or Canadian about these types of immigrants, they will say "bring it on"

We generally love Greeks, Italians and other Europeans. Why? Because they have always thrived, and done well, bought in a bit of their own culture which has enriched our own in so many ways and because they fit in quite well after a few years once they found their feet. Australians and Canadians in particular are very knowledgeable these days about Southern and Western European cultures because they are well traveled and they will even take every opportunity to experience it.

No doubt that these people, our ancestors have made massive contributions to America, Canada, and Australia. And they are likes. The chasm between Americans, Australians, Canadians with Christian Europeans isn't a big one. The same Western Values are there, the same way of life, and we only have some small cultural differences which are very much appreciated by Americans, Australians and Canadians.

On the other hand, the current migrants keep to themselves in ghettos and the chasm is very wide and distinct and many feel that this chasm is insurmountable.

In Australia at least, you can't find an Aussie that is against European immigration.

...here in Montreal, it was the Greeks that pushed out the Jews on Park Ave,, they expanded tp Park Ex. and moved on to the suburbs like Chomedy and Laval.
Iff you go to the neihhbourhood now, it is a trendy place, and shops with Asian and India products also fill the streets. And yet the Jews north of Park Ave. and Cote des neiges, Cote st Luc, and Mount Royal, where they moved to (outside their ghetto) represents the largest population of Jews, in one place outside of Israel, can this be true? What of the Arabs, and Persian, you will find them in Jean-Talon, north and west of the island, in both the English and French Quarters, and you will find them everywhere as shop keepers, and engineers.

...my friend Tom would not eat a souvlaki as a young man, now he is an expert; plus ca change, plus ca reste la meme. You can buy the best bagel in the world at the Fairmount Bakery on St. Viateur, don't worry. I get the best cheese cake and loukoumi from a Turkish Bakery right next to my favorite Orthodox Church, never mind the oriental food i eat from the little restaurants that have opened in my neighbourhood becoming more Asian and less Italian, there are more Central and South Americans, too. What of it; a good barber is a good barber.
