Trump's intervention was a typical bull-in-a-china-shop effort which broke that protocol. I suspect it was very unwelcome to Johnson, although not perhaps to Farage's ego.

To be fair, it wasn't a precedent. Obama was just as guilty with his - Cameron prompted - "back of the queue" intervention during the referendum campaign. There was of course a lot of that sort of thing going on at the time but on the whole, like a pedo Uncle, it gets little mention. Apart from things like NHS buses and 70 million Turks that is. Which - certainly in my case - had absolutely no impact at all upon any opinions held.

thats total bull crap and you know it.

when obama spoke he just explained the situation what wil lhappen if uk were out of the eu and trying to get a free trade deal with the usa. back of the que is what he said. worst was said by pallosi who said that if we leave without a deal there will be no trade deal with the usa especially if the ni status is threatened in anyway. i feel dorry for you if you think that was political inetreference. to see what political interference is just look at what trump has said.

jc is bad he said and he will take the uk into bad places. that is just about the mental age lavel of 2. what is really hyprocritical was nige claiming that what obama said was political interference and yet allowed trump on his show to do such a thing with no problem at all.

nige is an asshole, so is trump so is manchild and every brexshithead on this forum too. you are all full of shit.

It comes as no surprise that one arsehole, one Clown and one idiot concur!!

Yeah, and fuck the majority Brits and MPs who do not support a "clean break", even if such thing exits after 40+ years being in the EU. :?

can somebody explain in practical terms what a clean break means.

do we pay the financial settlement or not
do we adhere to eu regualtions or not
do we have trade with the eu or not
what the hell do those words mean?

It is no wonder that you post such ridiculous shite day after day if you haven't managed to grasp even the most basic concepts that have been discussed for the past 3½ years...

on the conteary my deluded friend. no deal has been talked about but clean break has not. old nige uses it a lot without explaining what it actually means.
if you understand it please my guest. what the fak does clean break mean?
whats gonna happen to northern ireland particularly?

explain away smart arse.

i see you could not explain it.

Good grief, your total ignorance is breathtaking! Or, you are being deliberately obtuse, you decide...

Clean break simply means leaving the EU and its institutions. So we would be out of the EU, you know, the clue is in the word Brexit

Remember, ‘crashing out’, ‘cliff edge’, ‘no deal’, etc. are just scary post-referendum fabrications by losing Remoaners like yourself.

Bore-Dough wrote:do we pay the financial settlement or not

We pay any outstanding amounts we owe is all. And we get back our share of assets we have contributed to.

Bore-Dough wrote:do we adhere to eu regualtions or not

Of course, if we wish to sell products to the EU we meet their regulations in the same way we do if we sell to the US. You know, when Dyson sells a vacuum cleaner to the US he doesn’t just send a 240V one with a UK plug and hope they won’t notice.

On the other hand, companies not selling to the EU (or US) will have no need to meet their regulations.

Bore-Dough wrote:do we have trade with the eu or not

I suspect we’ll still buy French wine and cheese, German cars and washing machines, etc. As indeed Europe will still buy financial services from London and British goods.

I suspect I’m not alone in thinking that every time I attempt to read one of your posts...

It's a small forum and it sometimes seems that few of us haven't received the (usually misspelled) Lordo insult accolades. We should wear them like medals. Make all those North Korean generals look naked.

Not according to the Brexit party at their launch today. They proposed a 200 billion spending package, and 39 billion of that would be funded by NOT paying the outstanding amounts we owe.

So grump do you prefer a 'clean break' exit over an exit based on the Johnson deal ? Given that you 'voted' here for the Johnson deal.

Pretty rich coming from you imo Londonrake. You often seem to prefer talking about my character flaws and failings as a person rather than address any point I make and I do not think it would be unfair of me to claim that on any spectrum of 'insults others every time to never insults anyone' I would be nearer the 'never insults anyone' end of that spectrum than average and yourself specifically.

Actually, it didn’t start out that way. I was of course though talking to Lordo, of whom I can confidently say nobody who doesn’t straight agree with him has failed to qualify for a regular stream of foul-mouthed put-downs. I think “you talk shit” is the largest in my personal collection. You can’t reason with somebody of that mindset. You just put your effort into making him look a prat and in that respect I’m grateful for his valuable assistance.

I agree, you are much more amenable and at times I‘ve been unreasonably short with you. For which I offer an apology.

After 3.5 years I’m simply sick to death though of “addressing points” Remainers make. It’s a circular activity and an equal waste of time. Hopefully, events will help resolve some issues soon. Although, I don’t share the confidence of some about the outcome.

see no profanities.

so while you are explaining what clean break means perhaps you can aslo explain how you voted for on brexit and yet nige is saying he did not vote for the same brexit as manchild,

can any brexshithead explain this one in simple language so we can all understand.

I can understand for those leavers who have been pushing so hard the narrative that 'the whole brexit thing is binary, simple, everyone knew what leave meant before the vote, during it and after it', it is difficult to reconcile that narrative with a reality that even amongst the hardest of the leave supporters there are rival camps arguing about what leave really means. Which may explain why it sometimes feels impossible to get straight answers from such people, even the ones who like 'brevity' and 'stick to the fundamentals', to simple binary questions like "do you support the johnson deal", "would you have voted for it if you were an MP" and "do you prefer a clean break exit to johnsons deal" ?
