I thought they were nominated by the UK government then “approved” by the EU Parliament? Which on the whole does what it’s told (see “election” of Von der Leyen. It was farcical) by the Council of Europe - aka Merkel and Macron.
by the end of this process, especially just after you lose the confirmatory vote
is not being appointed by the elected government not democratic enough?

is this not also practiced in cyprus. are the ministers not appointed by the president?

consider how much power a minster has and one of these people have in the eu.

you really are beyond help. you hatred for the eu is beyond belief and illogical and will be beside yourself in. in some ways what ever happens will not make you happy becasue there is no way we are going to have the current deal as is even if manchild wins or no deal. you are still oblivious of the fact that manchild had nointention of implementing this deal when he agreed to it. his sole purpose was to delay as long as possible hoping we would crash out on the 31st. well i am looking for a ditch for him to do the honourable thing.

I was thinking posting this myself.

When you listen to Trump you understand VERY quickly that the guy is a Statesman and is VERY astute. he has achieved so much in the last 3 years and kept to every promise.

What he however isn't, is an establishment figure. you know, like the kind of establishment who don't want to listen to the "little" people or the electorate.

Trump has been such a nice change for the USA.

Both these men are democrats. And he upsets all the right imbeciles too.

The bourgeoisie elites are not very smart and thankfully they are very slow learners. And their charade was exposed a long time ago as the masses are no longer buying their nonsense.

Any right minded individual, who can think for themselves rather than be brainwashed from the MSM and the bourgeoisie elites will be very happy with what is happening in places like the USA, Australia, UK, Hungary, Italy, Austria and Germany with the rise of the anti establishment.

You can only get so much blood out of the poor working class who are going from one paycheck to the next whilst all their jobs disappear or the bourgeoisie degrade them and hit them with high energy prices and talk down to them over global warming and other things that are the pet subjects of the high middle classes and the rich as a virtue signal.

The left no longer represent the "little" people. There is a major re-alignment with Conservative Politics leading the mainstream away from total and utter stupidity!

Corbyn is a bad man! He betrayed the voters and the people of the UK = very bad man!

ALL the politicians who have conspired with the EU and tried to sabotage the biggest democratic vote in British history are bad people and the voters are about to pull the plug and drain most of this filthy scavenging lot in the swamp.

You watch most of your remoaning buddies become feather-dusters on 12the of December. It's all over!

You lot have tried to undermine democracy and democracy is now your greatest fear because its going to decimate you all and re-establish the people's say and their right to determine their futures.

The "little" man has just as much right to have their say than the rich, or the bourgeoisie or the elites. they are educated and they are savvy with technology and on the net. They have their own minds now and don't rely on the biased information the elites provide.

He is clever enough to have played you all and come out on top as the nice guy who was bullied.

Clever enough to win the next election in a landslide and take Britain out of the EU.

And you are delusional about BOJO losing seats. he is going to win 50 as a minimum, but probably closer to 70 to 80 seats. He got you all by the curlies! :D

Whenever such posts are challenged, rather than someone simply admitting an error, we invariably get this obfuscating chaff display. It’s fascinating.

It’s simple. Pyro said that EU Commissioners were “elected MEPs”. They’re not. As an example, when Patten returned from being the last governor of HK he was given the job of compiling a report/recommendations on future policing in NI. After that, in 1999, he was appointed by HMG as the EU Commissioner for External Relations. He wasn’t even an MP, having last served at Westminster 7 years earlier, when he lost his seat in the 1992 election.

The man has a habit of posting exaggerated and incorrect claims. (20%/40% :D ) then, when challenged, there’s a big fuss, or acting like it’s nothing to do with him. :eyecrazy:

I don’t hate the EU. I’d just rather not be in it. Apparently, that’s supposed to be a right, although it hasn’t looked that way to me. I’m certainly not too fond of having Brussels oligarchs, who are deliberately kept out of the unwashed electorates’ reach, compiling laws which affect me. That, whilst acknowledging they are of course, just like yourself/Pyro/Erolz, all “Democrats”.

And look at them all falling on their sword committing harakiri.

They are so spineless they can't even face the voters.

Bye bye Amber Rudd.

You betrayed the people and can't bear to face them.
