What an utterly stupid comparison by the forum's idiot .

"
When EOKA started their insurgence for independence in 1955, they did not do a study on the effect of the Cypriot economy either or a study on how many people will die. They just accepted the cost for their independence."

General, you spend too much time sitting on your brains !!

hang on milti, let me correct you. eoka never uttered the word independence to this day. their word they used was self-determination and it was very specific for a political reason. if they said independence how would they explain enosis afterwards?

of course eoka did not make any calculations on the effect fighting will cause on the economy as their main target was british soldiers. they started killing gcs who worked for the british and that would still have minimal effect in cyprus. the situation changed when they started attacking first the tc police and auxiliaries as well as civilians who worked for the military. this was incredibly stupid thing to do under any circumstances. even if the tcs who worked for the british were responsible for torture of the suspects and even used in hanging those who were found guilty. It is always those who order these actions that are responsible first and foremost. they should have known this would tear the two communities into two. unfortunately you were blessed with the stupidest leader in the world. and here we are still divided after 64 years. who is to blame for this? you can go back to its root for killing the first tc policeman. that was the seed that germinated.

You do rush before you walk.
My comments directed at the General were merely to point out that comparing Brexit to EOKA is fucking stupid. Don't lecture me on
The Cyprus issue.

Nope! I don't see it.

I'm not a remoaner!

/*You are not British. You know fuck all about the English, I say English rather than British since there are millions of Asians and others who by law are British. You dont know what makes an Englishman tick.
You are ignoring the 16 million plus who voted remain, as well as millions who did not bother to cast their vote in the belief that the result would have been to remain.
By the way its encouraging to see the pound steadying at around 1.16 against the Euro.
Should there be another referendum we can see Sterling gaining significantly against both the Euro and the US Dollar.
The markets do not react to bad news, unlike you , try not to sit on your brains too long !!

Oh yes I do and one of the things I know about them is that they will NEVER allow themselves to be pushed around by a foreign colonial power like the EU.

They will not accept being governed and have laws introduced by a foreign speudo parliament.

It's over yero! It's all over! 8)

Can you show me an official EU law that is unrelated to the common market?
Do you by any chance have any idea how many laws the British commissioners themselves passed through that "pseudo parliament"?
Did you know the British commissioners are ELECTED MEP's?

Your 16 million is now less than 14 million!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
