Companies aren't in business to pay taxes, they are set up to make profit. Of course they arrange their finances to reduce the tax burden to a minimum. I certainly did when I ran my business...
But Socialists like you have no understanding of business, you think they should pay more tax than the law requires - hell, they should be taxed on their
turnover, not their profit!
Tell me Socialist Boy, HMRC have a system whereby you can pay more tax then you are legally required to. A sort of voluntary contribution to the government. I presume you send them a cheque every month when you get your pay packet...?
No? I thought not...
It is surprising how few Socialists that call for more tax (because reasons) choose to use the service that is available to them to do so...
What you say is generally true. However look at the Scandinavians. They do allow large companies to grow with a generally high corporate tax of about 20% but when it comes to personal earnings the taxes go as high as 60%. As a result most billionaires settle to a certain wealth and from there on they transfer the company's earnings to employees via bonus, free vocation, higher wages, donations to charities, research centers etc. It proved successful although it's actually some sort of a socialist system.
