Interesting but the Turkish Cypriot is talking city language, the village language is better. I met a supposedly TC at work this week and she told me she could not understand TCs talking. Clearly she was no proper TC she was the child of what we call Gaco which migrated out of Cyprus to the UK.
There is nothing new. Back in the 70s there was no freedom of the media to report on the injustices of the excesses of the landlords. They stopped the herders from grazing their animals and drove them off the land.
So of course the reports were coming out in the form of films at huge cost to the actors and directors. Suru was one such film.
