What tilted the balance in favor of Brexit in the UK was the portion of people who had no hope, who are also dumb most of the times.
For people with no hope any change -whatever change even war- is preferable to the status quo because they get a chance for something better.

They do not trust the EU and the outsourcing of legislation to the continent.
They are very protective of social infrastructure such as the NHS.
They have more business acumen.
They also appear to be slightly more logical and fact seeking.

You are correct. When you break it down, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who trusts the EU and its plans. However the remoaners behave other=wise even though deep down they do not trust the EU either.

It's not about trading per se. It's about trading on favorable terms. Tariffs is a huge burden, devaluation of the Sterling another, even partial loss in been a financial center while over the years it lost most of it's manufacturing basis, will not only have a short term negative impact but long term too.

brexiteers do not really fully understand the flow of trade the uk has. they long to get back to old england where they ruled the waves, but is that possible? at that time england got her resouces on the cheap from the empire and collected taxes too and sold them on to europe. that worked so long as the resouces werecoming from the empire. the idea that we don't really need europe and we can return to the old ways is clearlt not understanding the trade we did. even in them days if we did not trade with the europe it would not have worked. but to suggest that we can somehow deal with the old empire countries and sell to them and buy from them and make money, is beyobd stupid.

Devaluation of the Sterling as far as I know could be beneficial to trade.

Britain being the 5th largest economy is always going to be trading on fairly descent terms. Now we got to be realistic here as well. Trade is about mutual benefit. There has to be something in it for everyone otherwise there will be no trade.

Britain will still be able to trade under the current terms for quite some time. I highly doubt the EU wouldn't want anything else as Britain is a massive market for the EU.

In the end, money always talks and the bullshit walks.

clearly you do not understand trade. devaluation is good in the short term because it makes exports cheaper but in the medium and long termonce those higher priced imorts feed into the prices, it is exactly opposite. your imports become more expensive and hence you lose all the advantage you gain in the short term but you are stuck with higher prices of imports for the rest of time. you stick to riding your bike and spraying your crops you idiot and leave trade to those who understand the trading.

the best situation to trade in is to have a stable currency you can rely on being protected from the money men. eu and the euro has given you exactly that. those who do not see the advantage of that are blind. they have this notion that they are in control of their own interest rates if they are outside the euro. try going against the interest rates of uk and usa and see what happens.
