it sounds like some of these people here have not lived in uk when sterling was losing its value and the inflation it caused. sure some people did alright out of devalued currency but most of us paid the price. how selfish are people that they only judge something on how it affects them and not everybody. i feel for the poor in both america and china, it is they that will suffer the consequences of a drop in currency not the governments or the leaders

time we had a government that cared for the many rather than few.

back to the real subject matter. was the good friday agreement and what brexit meant to it ever mentioned before the vote. this is the reason why labour has taken the brexit position they had before 2017, they wanted to protect industry, jobs and peace. so now we know about half a million will lose their jobs. and of course not to mention prices going up hitting the poor who are working and more people will end up visiting food banks. what a way to go from comfortable to this mess.

a new problem surfaced yesterday.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-49272343

but of course they say it is a risk and stop at that. but is it. which bit of there will be wto tarrifs applied to everything after no deal brexit did they not understand. for instance lamb has 45% tax and it will be applied. cheese has 40% so how much will there be on milk. the tories have said that they will not apply tarrifs on imports from eu to stop price rises here is bull shit. wto will not allow this kind of activity on some and not others, if you do that to one you will have to offer the same to all other countries on wto rules.

We don't know anything you claim...

It is just more Project Fear bullshit, same as we have been having for the past three years and more...

Remember that cataclysmic scenarios described in 'the immediate aftermath' of a Leave vote...? Didn't happen...

The thing you and the rest of the doomsters don't appreciate is that nothing stands still. There won't be anybody that thinks they will be affected by Brexit sitting on their arses and seeing what happens on the day. They'll be making plans and alternative arrangements to cover their arses if there are any issues.

I think there are people out there in government that have a pretty good idea already of the levels of tariffs (if any) that will be applied to imports in a whole number of different scenarios... Certainly people that are a bit more experienced in the matter than keyboard warriors like yourself that take everything the BBC spews out as gospel truth!

The BBC is now one of the most corrupt news outlets going. Especially that it gets funding from the EU!!!!

now here is a subject we agree with b25. bbc news program was run for years a fella named gibb and he is a true blue tory. i am not saying what the bbc says is true, infact they dress everything up to not look not so bad for the brexiteers.

since when has it been risk that tarrifs will be applied under wto rules. what was amazing was the ignorance of the bbc presnter regarding the consequences of brexit when considering good friday agreement. its like pouring petrol on to the fire. but of course grumpy boy will claim it is all project fear. i mean which part of tarrifs under wto rules are in any way unknown quality and is being in some way exagurated.

as to who funds the bbc, i am afraid we fund the bbc not the eu. public pay direct to the bbc as a licence and the rest of their money comes from the taxes the public pay which is also what we pay. now i see that you stumbled on some grant they had recieved which was 3 million over 3 years which makes it 1 million a year for. for that they have to do some cultural programming and such. but compare that to the money the licence fee payers pay which is 3,700 million a year. that makes it 11,100 million over three years.

so you think the eu in some way has some control over what bbc does by paying 3 million grant to them spread over 3 years. you understanding of the this matter is as good as your understanding of the cyprus problem. but to have a view that bbc was pro remain in the vote just goes to show that you were listening to the broadcasts from the planet uranus. otherwise known as ubc.

Yes it did !! Let's say your incoming amount to £200 per week. Multiply that by 160 weeks = £32,000. Before the referendum you have exchanged to euro and receive €41,000 now, multiply x 15% and you have thus far LOST €6,000 . Not peanuts is it. But you and the likes of you are far too bloody stupid to figure it out.

The good thing about 'debating' with you is that it only takes a fraction of a second to prove anything you claim to be false!

BBC faces Brexit bias accusations over £4m in EU funding

The Telegraph wrote:The BBC has received nearly €5million in funding from the European Union since 2015, The Daily Telegraph has learnt, prompting accusations from Brexiteers that the broadcaster risks a conflict of interests.

The EU has given the BBC €4.8million (£4.2million) under its Horizon 2020 programme, which provides grants for research and development. Nearly €1.5million is earmarked for ongoing projects involving the corporation.

oh dear that is planned for 2020 so i gues we amy not even get it but even if we do, but how does it compare with the 11,000 million the british public pay over the same. now on side 4.2 million and the other 11,000 million. i am inclined to agree with you 4.2 is a bigger amount than 11,000 million.

ehem ehem. how the weather over in planet uranus
