Unfortunately guns will always exist in the USA, because it is in the American culture and psyche to be armed, going back to the wild Wild West. There‘s no point in trying to ban guns as it won’t happen. America is a violent Country on many levels, but not necessarily a violent society when it comes to the majority. Crime generally comes from poverty, hopelessness of prosperity , lack of education, broken family structure, street gangs with turf wars and so on. Crime will not stop even if all the guns were taken away. Of course the tourist do not see much crime, because their two weeks in the states does not bring them face to face with these problems, unless they go looking for them, in which case, they may well become a victim themselves.

nobody says take guns away and crimes will stop you assholes. they just will have less effective ways of mass killing. just like in london where guns are controlled and only ilegal guns are used and knives. trying to stop crime is another matter. nobody has succeded yet and i suspect were are some way to be able to do that. even that may happen. we need to engineer humans from feeling that just becasue they want something they can decide to have it without paying for it. this has actually been done decades ago in spain where vets were able too perate on a bull and remove the section of the brain that made the beast attack on colour read. the poor thing then just became very peaceful.
its time to practice this on real beasts.

But burglars and muggers are significantly less likely to target you if they think you might have a gun and be able to defend yourself...

bullshit, becasue if they think you have a gun so wil they. so they will enter your house and when you wake up you will be lokking down the barrel of the gun. that is what trump said when he suggested that everybody should have guns to defend themselves. it is far better to not have a gun because you are less likely to get killed. in anycase whats so wrong about being robbed. i got robbed once when i was not home and i was replace everything with new. in fact companies now advise their staff to give away they are laptops if they get attacked rather than fight for it and get injured.

no no no there is only one demand.

remove allguns from the cities. in the country side people will be able to have a normal shot gun for what ever reason but no pump action. there are no other demands. and it wil happen just as sure as day follows night.

Why disarm law abiding citizens meaning the only people to possess arms will be the criminals? In Australia, gun crime actually increased after gun control and that is a fact.
