Erolz.

When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.

Thanks for your analysis of me.

Another book. You really ought to get your posts down to a manageable level, if you want people to read them.

I’m disappointed TBH.

I meant CG of course - I thought you might have managed to figure that one out.

Because you know well that the ONLY reason the pound has lost so much against both the Euro and the dollar is because of Brexit. !! Its common sense mate. Brexit is not economically a sound " investement" The markets have had 3 years to digest this yet the pound is still losing. Unless of course all leavers are so
Wealthy they do not care. Admitt the irrefutable fact. Germany IS top dog, the euro IS a success challenging the US.$ as the world currency. As for Europeans flooding into the UK , how about the millions of .... Letter boxes and bank robbers spread all over the UK ?
The truth is an intense envy of Germany the TOP dog of Europe.

For what it is worth Milti and whilst I accept there is an element of 'reality' to what you are saying, I do not personally think that things are so 'simplistic' as you make out, nor do I think the 'racist' element is the defining element here. I personally chose to not focus on such aspects and partly because there is a reality in the phenomenon of 'shutting down others' by ascribing to them a racist motive when in fact the motive is not racist or overtly racist.

My mother, 80 and British, voted to leave. She is not racists in any overt way, after all she married my father who was a Cypriot. Now one of the reasons she voted leave (and there are many) is a general sense that 'we can do things better' than 'others' can. Now in the absence of actual evidence this is true , there is a 'racist' element to this but I would not and do not consider my mother a racist by any stretch of the imagination. Not in the sense that someone like Yaxley Lenon is racist (or Islamophobic if you prefer).

If I have slandered you then sue me. I will happily provide you any and all details you might need to pursue such a case.

You are welcome. Just as I am welcome to your assertions as to what my motivations are and what I must know to be true etc etc.

Londonrake wrote:Another book. You really ought to get your posts down to a manageable level, if you want people to read them.

Yeah I think someone said that to Darwin when he wrote 'Origin of Species' (not that I am in ANY way comparing my posts to his wirtings other than in terms of length)

You appear to have confused me with someone who gives a toss as to if you are disappointed or not. I have no agenda here of trying to 'not disappoint' others, win them over, convince them of anything or be their friends. My agenda is entirely selfish in terms of trying to understand better. I care not if in doing that I upset you or inspire you, it is simply irrelevant to me and why I am here either way.

I did consider that but given that you seem to be on the same side as CG on these issues I was not sure. Thanks for the clarification.

There is little point discussing this subject at all... Millions of words have been typed on it over the past three years and I haven't seen anybody change their mind yet!

I've only engaged over the past few days because I have time on my hands waiting for a new project to start (hopefully Wednesday)...

I still remain positive about leaving tho and agree with you that it is something that simply cannot be stopped...

If your objective in such discussion is change other peoples mind I would agree such is largely pointless. For me my agenda of engaging in discussions like these is not one of changing other people's mind but actually of changing my mind, or reinforcing why I am not changing it.

Hope it goes as you hope on Wednesday.

I agree, on both points. Although I’m not celebrating about Boris at the moment. Proof of the pudding and all that. After 3 years of May he certainly couldn’t be any worse.

As I said, if you refrain from posting on the subject I’ll happily do the same. War and Peace is an easier read. Tolstoy has a better sense of humour in it, too.

Yes, I'm not sure on Boris either...

But he has one job to do and if he can't (or won't) do it we'll be in GE territory and many, many changes in the HoC...
