One of the better attempts at explaining the Cyprus problem by a foreigner.

Very factual.

Divide and conquer

then they created the problem, managed the reaction the imposed their solution which was partition.

The natives wishes were completely ignored and actively resisted.

What is shit is you and the videos you are posting. The position of Makarios in various times is clearly mentioned in the video. And what about Akritas? How is that a big deal when compared to the Turkish plans of partitioning Cyprus with ethnic cleansing?

The Akritas plan was only a plan that was formulated in response to the tc,s fight against the people of Cyprus and taksim. something that never would have been formulated under other scenarios.

Notice how the gc wanted enosis and fought against the colonialists. Nothing harmful was directed at the tc.

The tc sided with the colonialists though and fought against the gc.

Makarios settled for independence. If you can call it that. Cyprus was still under that ottoman yoke with the super inflated rights the colonialists sowed in to the constitution giving the ottoman minority still on the island a way to abuse the majority.

Get your facts straight.
