"I am only selling the building...not the land"

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby anastasiaC » Fri Feb 03, 2006 3:41 am

my grandfathers parents house in Bellapais was sold to a Swedish couple a few years ago so if they can only sell the building not the land how did they manage to do that?
I have yet to visit the north - last time I was in Cyprus (2001) the borders were still closed.

I'm very surprised that estate agents are coming into the Republic and trying to sell Greek Cypriot property - they must be mad.

PS Agios Amvrosios is about 10 minutes away - they've got a very good taverna!

By the sounds of things you are talking about the other Agios Amvrosios--in the Lemesos Municipality. I was talking about the Agios Amvrosios in Kyrenia. I only discovered that there were two Agios Amvrosioses in Cyprus recently- how wierd Why would a tiny little island have two towns with the same name?

All the wierd stuff in the world happens in Cyprus.

Hi Agios Amvrosios

Don't worry - I only found out there were two Agios Amvrosioses when I read one of your messages in another topic.

I've had similar problems with villages like Souni (one in Larnaca another in Limassol) and Episkopi (one in Limassol and one in Paphos). It can get very confusing at times! And it doesn't help with the mail delivery.
