is the greek version same lyrics as this french version? bloody galamara version is just unrecognisable.

You is one hell of a barbarian boy. Dirlada song was designed to help the divers so they did not run out of air when they dived for sponges. Nothing to do with Istanbul. It was a cosmopoliton city in the past and it is now too. it has 3 million Kurds living there.

…oglu are all either crypto-Turks or crypto-Greeks (depending on where they currently live) who originate from Izmir.
