As I understand it, the Alaskan Airlines B-737 Max was only delivered in October 2023 for the nuts to be loosened.

The engines hasn’t been “broken-in” yet!

I wonder if they are keeping a record of exactly who tightened those nuts? I suspect not.

Volkswagen few years ago implemented a new computer system on fuel consumption and emissions so as to lower the emissions during the MOT test. They were found out and within 3 months Volkswagen announced exactly there were 11 million cars involved and exactly which ones they were.

Now the Europeans know a thing or two on project management.

Ok Ok I give it to the Yanks, they know how to do things proper like.

NASA lost a Mars orbiter.
Can you imagine losing $125 million thanks to a little metric system error? That’s exactly what happened in 1999 when NASA lost a Mars orbiter because one team used metric units for a calculation and the other team didn’t.
Guess they didn’t learn from their previous mistake.

...an old wartime secret.

''The iconic tape was invented by an Illinois mom named Vesta Stoudt who wanted to save soldiers' lives in World War II. The year was 1943 and Stoudt, who had two sons serving in the U.S. Navy, was working at the Green River Ordnance Plant near Amboy, Illinois.Feb 8, 2018'' google search, 'who invented duct tape'.

Ok Ok Ok this one is not American but they seem to have caught the stupidity syndrome from their southern neighbours.

A plane ran out of fuel mid-flight.
In 1983, an Air Canada plane ran out of fuel in the middle of a flight.
The cause?
Not one but two mistakes in figuring how much fuel was needed.

It was Air Canada’s first plane to use metric measurements, and clearly not everyone had the hang of it yet. Luckily, no one was killed and only two people received minor injuries. That’s amazing considering the flight crew thought they had double the fuel they actually had.

Never mind the fact that they sealed an emergency exit door in such a shoddy way but why remove an emergency exit door.
Secondly if the nuts were loose and the panel got pulled away suggests that the nuts were fitted perpendicular to the wall instead of parallel. Who the fuck came up with that design idea. Give the Swine a medal. I wonder if his name was Frank Spencer.

This clearly shows their total disregard for safety.

...more info; what is a plug door, how is it used, what the ''bolts'' are for.

...why did the Pilot's door fly open? (a second question which should be answered)
