Can anyone help me, I need to know if I am able to claim citizenship through my mother. I was born in the UK in 1984. My mum is a Cypriot citizen- born in Cyprus in 1957 and then she moved to the UK in 1962. My dad is British and they were married at the time of my birth. Both my mothers parents were Cypriots. Both my dad's parents were British.

Some of the information I have read says that you can only claim citizenship through your Dad if you were born before 1999, is this the case or can I claim my citizenship through my mother still?
