Fuck that mate, nothing against Australia but you can keep it along with your triple x piss water. Had you been lucky enough to be born in Cyprus you too would consider the island as your paradise. No it's not.
Ther have been at least a few thousand new Cypriot arrivals in Australia since 2010. There has been at least 50,000 new arrivals from Greece as well.
I met 2 families in Brisbane alone, and I hardly go out within Greek circles. Most are ending up in Sydney and Melbourne. We have befriended a Cypriot family in Adelaide that only arrived 2 years ago and they don't want to go back and no one can blame them Adelaide in my opinion = best city in the world!
The migration from Cyprus and Greece is still strong and has been strong since 2010 till now.
Not just that, but getting to Australia from Cyprus isn't easy. Australia has very string processes on who is permitted to enter as an immigrant. So we get the best qualified people, and Cyprus ends up with the brain drain. Some are also lucky because they have family to sponsor them through their family business. So they get work visas.
And there are a lot of Americans, Canadians, Swedes, French, Germans, Brits, Italians, and Spaniards migrating as well.
I am getting fingerprinted by a by a US Citizen QANTAS pilot for my E3B Visa for the States. Go figure! People are moving all over the place. The borders between Australia and North America (USA and Canada) are open.
