It's all relative I suppose. I little Creek in Cyprus might classify as "Nature".

There also appears to be a bin in the Creek.

IN the creek?? No reh, it's hanging on the pole, so that you may throw your popcorn wrap.

btw it doesn't smell sewage like most big rivers in Europe.
It's just pure crystal clear water coming from the mountains.

Next to a road and with a bin in it!

You make it sound like yo want to swim in it.

Here is nature for you Pyro. I went for a walk yesterday along the Brisbane River Boardwalk, right in the heart of a 3 million population city, and a pod of dolphins swam past me. 8)

Brisbane. Lovely city. I went on the river steamboat there. Captained by the closest I have ever met to Birdseye. :D

Pithkias has a glorious past. I remember when I was a Kid by the time it would start flowing we would hear a horrifying wooo sound coming from the south. 15 -20 minutes from then it would come down ferocious carrying all sorts of things, cars, wood, garbage even donkeys and horses. Did you know there were wild horses living in Pitkias? Pittas (the one who has the dairy factory) caught one and kept it in a small stable outside his factory.
Within 2-3 days you would feel scared even going near the edge of Pithkias. 2-3 meters of water flowing at such speed... And it kept flowing all winter, and going up to Famagusta flooding the whole of Mesaoria.

The pictures just show what's left of it. They cut it upstream at so many points to enrich underground reserves.

Pithkias was Great! It still is and I am glad it's only walking distance away from my house.
As for it's grammic walkway :

Last image - on the right is the New Farm Boardwalk! New Farm is where I stay, right on the waterfront with views of the skyline and Storey Bridge. Very Italian area. I'm near the Felon's Brewery! 8)

The pod of Dolphins swam right under the boardwalk. I heard a big huff as they were surfacing for air.

They were right under me.

Sorry, I took a closer look of the photo.

That's at Kangaroo Point. New Farm is about a kay downstream after passing Storey Bridge.

On the right are the Kangaroo Point cliffs from where Storey Bridge passes. There are great views from there of the city skyline especially at night. There is a Latin Dance and Music venue there I like and across river is Felon's Brewery (boutique beer), some great trendy bars and then you got New Farm - most expensive suburb in Brisbane

The views are amazing. City looks glitzy, hence its nickname of Brisvegas. It's American, it's fake, it's loud, and lit up to make a bold statement.

They were gay dolphins of the river. We have straight dolphins of the Mediterranean in our seas.

Oh OK.

Our dolphins are gay.

These Dolphins were about 20 kms from the Brisbane Delta and in the Central Business District of Brisbane with skyscrapers to their left and their right.

There seem to be a lot of contemptuous comments involving "gay" accusations in here. :?
