Paphitis Web Browser Pop Charts

Postby Paphitis » Sun Feb 17, 2019 3:02 am

The TOP 5 this week:

1) Mozilla Firefox

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

2) Vivaldi

https://vivaldi.com/

3) Waterfox

https://www.waterfoxproject.org/en-US/

4) Pale Moon

https://www.palemoon.org/

5) OPERA

https://www.opera.com/

The above folks will provide a great customizable experience and protect your privacy (not that anyone should really be that paranoid).

The above browsers all have their differences, so it depends on your personal needs which one is best for you. But I encourage everyone to try and post their experiences here. I will help all of you out with how to set it all up and customize it the way you want to in order to satisfy what is important to YOU. :D

And all browsers have their cult following.

And this is for people who want to get away from Chrome and Google. I can help here, and you can still have the flexibility to go back to Google as you require for whatever reason you may have, because Google does have great products which we will all love to use from time to time as well. Google is most definitely unequal in terms of providing the best search results in your area of stuff that is of most relevance to you.

Paphitis has done a lot of research in this area, and is only happy to help out anyone who needs it! :D

Oh and btw folks, if anyone has some other ideas of great web browsers, please post them here.

Paphitis, is open minded and doesn't mind learning new things in this area, and to test drive them out too, time permitting. There is a lot of innovation out there, we just need to all open our eyes and see it.

Mate, I've tested so many of those web browsers.

Apart from the 5 above, I have also test driven the following:
Cyberfox
Maxthon
Comodo Dragon
Brave
Chromium
Midori on Linux
Epic
Classic Browser
and TOR

Now, Brave, Cyberfox and Midori for Linux are pretty damn good. But not for me.

Yours is the worst out of the lot, along with TOR. You are just so overzealous and unyielding and apply a one size fits all. Tor is super slow.

I'm trying to get you to see the light, but you just don't get it.

What you are doing is making a browser that suits your purposes, which is fine. But this browser is not ideal or even usable to 99.9% of people. If you want to appeal to more people, then you have to provide what the want, much like what Mozilla Firefox Quantum does.

You are full of nonsense Get Real.

Even Chrome is safe. It's also safe with Google.

there is no boogeyman. It's all in your head. All you have is an global enterprise maximizing its advertising profits by tailoring adverts to your interests.

And people can configure Chrome to be safer as well.

And at the same time be free to enjoy all the wonders of the internet such as YouTube. What you are doing is effectively a form of censorship because you are paranoid. If users are unable to log into YouTube, then effectively they can't subscribe to them with your browser. that is basically taking one of the worlds biggest content stream providers out.

You got it all wrong.

I have plenty of none commercial browsers.

Mozilla, Pale Moon, Waterfox, Vivaldi, are not commercial browsers.

Mozilla is open source and non profit.
