The sequel’s not bad, either.

I'm only halfway through the first one. So not gonna see the sequel before I knock the first one off.
The actors in it are fantastic. So realistic and well thought out. And it delves into the covert operations of law enforcement (DEA), CIA, Immigration, and it also got into a very clever false flag on how the US tries to get rival cartels to kill each other by instigation assassinations and kidnappings and making it appear its the rival cartel gang so they can slaughter each other in an all out gang war. :lol.

That sounds like the sequel plot.
The first was basically about setting up Benicio Del Toro for his revenge killing of a cartel Mr Big. Emily Blunt was in that one.

Get Real! wrote:Australian idiot, EVERYTHING on your phone is WEB-based and thus JavaScript driven.
Get Real! wrote:Sotos wrote:With Android you can set-up your Google account to handle your contacts, calendars etc so when you log-in using a different phone they will all be there. You can also use the build in back-up feature that keeps your apps and their settings backed-up on the cloud so they automatically re-download on your new phone. This doesn't work perfectly with all apps though, and personally I don't do this.
I save my photos/videos on the SD card, not on the phone itself, and I also use Google Photos to backup my photos/videos on Google (free for standard quality). When I get a new phone I transfer all the photos/videos etc from the SD card to my PC for backup, and then erase the SD card. The new phone will then show all my old photos also (from the online backup) and save new ones on the now empty SD card (and online).
So by just having your phone setup correctly you can change to a new phone very quickly. Then you can also use some specialized apps to transfer a few more things, like an app for transferring your SMS and Call Logs.
Beyond that it depends on what apps you are using. Some apps have their own "backup-restore" feature, and for some other you might need some 3rd party app to transfer them properly, but these are edge cases. We are talking about things like watsapp, Viber and generally apps that save tons of things on your phone (messages, photos, videos etc). Personally I don't use any of those.
When moving from Android to iPhone and vice versa (Windows phone is dead) things are obviously not as easy, but it is doable. Apple has an app for that: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .movetoios but I never tried doing this.
Thanks for the write-up, sounds like an absolute mess. It appears that nothing has changed from the past... so much for calling them “smart”.
You’d think that manufacturers would’ve figured out by now that phone migration is a very important aspect of mobile telephony, given that such devices become obsolete every two odd years.
By now, every manufacturer should’ve had a “Migrate” button/function that a user can activate and EVERYTHING (phone settings and data) gets transferred over to a new phone that is right next to it.
At the very least, this should be happening with phones of the same brand although in the year 2019 there’s no reason why this shouldn’t be universal!
For such reasons and more, we cannot call them “smart”… they are still dumb boxes.

You've been watching the second film. Not a problem, as they aren't actually sequential. Although, you do get Benicio's character's background and why he hates the drug cartels so much from No 1.
Personally, I think the first was probably better. Check it out.
