...you don't want a tattered Passport, firstly; good for conversation, but not at border crossings.

...you must know that the only advantage to traveling to the occupied territories from Turkey is travelling to Pakistan, and even that, you are better off in taking the flight from Turkey having returned to Turkey. Radical would be Ankara to Larnaca, if there is such a flight. And if i may, find Cypriots wherever you are on the island, you will find them, who need this recognition and patronage, they exist (unless of course if you wish to remain Ignorant, or are an extremist supporting the notion that only "Greeks" and "Turks" as enemies exist).

...welcome in any case, you will have a good time in Cyprus, you are a funny guy, i dare say.

A flight from Ankara to Larnaca would be very radical.

You must go to Turkish Airlines website to see if you can get a cheap fare RW. I expect a report on your findings.

...why, is Turkish Airlines the only one to fly out of Turkey?

Or is it because there are only "local" airlines, to Cyprus, with flights illegal by International standards?

...i would not be comfortable flying Turkish Airlines, despite being so big as a company, i have no confidence in them.

Sam Green wrote:Hi I have been travelling around the world for the last five years ( apart from 10 weeks when I flew back to England to see my mother two years ago).I left England in 2013 from Morcambe to the Isle of Man then to Belfast ,then Rosslare to France ,Spain, back to France ,Germany,Italy,Greece now in Crete. After over a year in Crete I think its time to move on.The next leg is Crete to Cyprus.I am not that keen on flying and also my passport got mangled in a bank scanning machine then went through a washing machine and is not looking to good now.So I might be refused air travel.I have looked up non air travel and it says I have to go Rhodes( where I might linger for a time ) then a ferry to Turkey , overland then a ferry to North Cyprus .Any advice? is it better just to renew my passport and fly Crete to Cyprus. Not to keen on travelling through Turkey.

Fly back to Gatwick and get an EasyJet flight to Paphos. A much cheaper option...

No Turkish Registered Aircraft will fly to Larnaca no matter what company.

They will fly to the occupied part but they won’t fly to Larnace.

They won’t allow Cypriot registered aircraft to enter their airspace either. Have to fly around Turkey as can’t overfly.

Turkish Airlines is a tier one operator as well, up there with Emirates and Qatar. One of the most desirable places to work for pilots. There is a massive Greek contingent there. About 200 Greek Pilots and engineers. I know a few of them very well.

Some in the upper levels of pilot management, check and training as well as recruiting too.
