We provide the materials and they provide cheap products for us. If all that is pulled, they are in the shit too. It is a delicate tight rope. And it doesn’t stop either of us giving each other shit like our overflights in the South China Sea.

I don’t think you understand. We are not stuffed at all. They are not as important as they use to be because India is overtaking them as a trade partner. In addition, we have so many markets we can sell to such as the EU, US, Japan, India and Korea. Australia does not seem to worry that much when they embargo them. India was non existent just 10 years ago and now they are a huge market.

Australia stands up for itself is my point. It has just banned or embargoed 2 Chinese companies. The only thing Greece and Cyprus can embargo is .... fuck I have no clue DT. Perhaps you can help me out with that one.

All you do is cave in to the IMF and EU which own your arses now.

You are pushovers that cant or will not protect your own interests because you are a mosquito scared of your own shadow.

A quarter of your exports go to China that’s about 23%. One third of your foreign debt is owned by China. I’d say your big clumsy holiday island is as Chinese as a spring roll right now.

5 years ago it was more. Now India wants a cut and we can’t supply.

Don’t make any presumptions because we will not lose a quarter of our exports.

And if we do, they lose their production unless they can source the same resources from elsewhere which is highly doubtful. It’s a double edged sword.

We currently have half the Australian Navy patrolling the South China Sea right now being shadowed by the Chinese Military.

We are doing what Turkey is doing to Greece. And they still but our stuff. Does this tell you anything DT?

They are more fearful of us and losing us as their supplier than the other way round and this is why they are always trying to negotiate with us.

But there are things we will not negotiate and the South China Sea is one of them.

Don’t think you understand how economic geopolitics works Paphiti. You have zero leverage. About half of China’s imports come from the US, South Korea, Germany and Japan. They wouldn’t feel a dent if you stopped selling.

Australia on the other hand would lose 25% of your exports. That would destroy your fragile isolated economy.

One more thing, don’t go around repeating that military leverage on China stuff....someone might call the men in white. Australia has zero military leverage over China.

The Chinese defense budget is 228bn while Australia’s is 10% of that. There’s 780 Chinese vessels patrolling the South China Sea compared with your total fleet of 49.

Australia is an insignificant mosquito mate. It’s always amazed me that despite the resources and size of Australia it still remains such an insignificant player in world politics and economics. Is it the population that can’t compete with the Germanies and Japan’s of this world or is it just cause you’re out there in the middle of nowhere?

Why don’t you give the Australian Defence Department a call and educate the buggers about geopolitics DT. They are gonna laugh at you as the coordinate the next Poseidon overflights from Japan and their Naval Manouvres 12 miles from the Chinese coastline.

Give them a piece of your mind DT.

When they ask you where you are from and you tell them, they might need to look you up on Google Earth!

No we won’t lose jack shit as India would absorb most of our losses. And China will have to replace their materials or step down their production.

That’s why we give zero fucks DT. Zero fucks given by Australia. We don’t give a stuff!

Difference between you and me Paphiti is I’m including data in all my responses. I’ve shown you are insignificant militarily in comparison to China, your economy is greatly reliant both as a debtor and a seller to China with numbers.

Like when you mentioned Australia’s National Debt.

Really DT. One of the lowest debts on the planet at something like 17%

What is Cyprus Debt these days mate and who owns that?

China has more debt than Australia does and some of that debt is Australian and Japanese.

Paphiti you’re right. Australia isn’t like Greece and Cyprus when it comes to China.

Australia is fucked when it comes to China whereas Greece and Cyprus have no such issues or ties.

About a third of the 1 trillion dollars of Australian foreign debt is owned by China. They say jump, you’ll ask if they want a beer while watching.

Ouch!

As a result of the pending forceful Chinese conversion of all Australians, we’ll have to find a new name for Paphitis so I’ve compiled a small list of suitable suggestions:

Sum Ting Wong

Ai Bang Mai Ni

Yu Fok Not

Kum Hia Nao

Lei Ying Lo

Wai Yu Dum
