But what would he do if he comes to Cyprus… nobody is willing to hire a Cessna tail & wing scrubber.
That’s what we use the Pakis for…

In my opinion, better off being poorer than to lose your identity. You will not be able to buyback Cyprus no matter how much money or wealthy you are. It will be too late.
I hope you are right DT, cos I do really worry about this place. That said see also below:
Worry all you like, Cyprus is not some frozen snapshot in a cute postcard that some expat and his kids can come and visit and eat his halloumi and leave while donkeys roam the countryside.
Cyprus has crawled out of a crisis that would have left most countries on its knees (of its own making). Cyprus has survived an invasion and lost 1/3 of its territory (of its own making - Traitors) where other nations would have been dependent on UN handouts for decades. Cyprus survived and is now prospering again (Give it time!). Cyprus is now becoming one of the largest hubs for international funds with over 7bn already under custody on the island after just 6 months of the program (yeah, more dodgy money run by corrupt bankers and Government). Some of the worlds largest venture capital funds are now looking at Cyprus as the next Silicon Valley in order to deploy their capital and attract innovators from around the world. (Give me a break, Silicon Valley, you are having a laugh. For one we don't have the necessary qualified personel, we have no infrastructure, too expensive to produce and this is pie in the sky. Only people buying here are foreign rich buying those pathetic skyscraping apts that they don't want for passports, if the passports were not available you would not see them in a million years)
Cyprus has succeeded where others have failed. Bullied and pushed around Cyprus has shut it’s ears to the threats and pushed ahead with the largest hydro carbon companies in the world. The results would be an unprecedented 80% addition to its own GDP. (bwahahaha, have you seen any gas yet? they may be here, but eshis psomia na fas akoma file mou. Only count your chickens once they have hatched, to many could be's and maybe's here)
Cyprus has pushed ahead time and time again, not thanks to those that left its shores for better conditions (you forget, that those that left for better conditions have been feeding and investing where the ones that stayed could not! €800 wages, yeah ok, they must have put the place up alright. In 1974 when the invasion started, who was sending money and aid back home??? It wasn't the UN that's for sure, so don't be too quick to knock those that left) but because of those that stayed behind and the new additions that came along. So screw your quaint postcards and memories. This EU member is forging ahead with its new cities and new squares, and its new industries and its new hydrocarbon assets.( dream on, new cities, squares gas, for the foreign super rich, not for your average Cypriot working for peanuts)

How many apples and oranges produced… how much halloumi is consumed… how many sheep are shagged during the festive season, etc.
You know, stuff like that...
Sure no problem.
Yes it is unrealistic but you guys were saying this and that about Australia.
I was just talking about the EU being a calamity, and for some reason you guys said we are just jealous because we are not involved.
Believe me when I tell you that we could easily set something up between us and the US, Canada, NZ, and Japan but the reality is we don’t want that. We want to stay seperate and at the most just have free trade.
And btw, free trade isn’t the be all and end all either because bwteen us we have exported hundreds of thousands of jobs to places like China.
You suffer from an abnormal fixation with Cyprus. Is it jealousy? Is it a lost sense of belonging coming from a sea of Asians in Australia? Is it amazement at how this small nation advances at record pace and sets a disproportional spotlight on itself in the world stage? Who knows...but you’re fixated with us.
I’m Cypriot and I gnash my teeth whenever I look upon you fuckups!
Cypriot? Not sure we’ll allow your type of turncoat in.

My price is 20K per month.
Can he afford it?
I can get a job tomorrow at Emirates, Qatar and also Turkish Airlines if I wanted it mate. Just a phone call away.
Everything has a price tag too, and I would be in Cyprus every month too.
Turkish Airlines isn’t as taboo as you think these days, because the company is nearly fully Greek.
