This stuff can have detrimental affects on people and they were trying to stage the whole thing and make me look bad.

I disagree. I was not alone in the vehicle.

They made themselves look bad. I was in my own car and I am happy to provide a breath sample, but wasn’t happy with being ambushed by a TV crew and I donb’t think I am alone there either.

I never gave them any sample until those cameras were out of my face.

Is it against the law to film in a public place in Oz...?

No it isn’t, but they were filming inside my car and against my will.

They said it was a public space as that was their exact argiument, so I told them I won’t provide a sample until the camera is out of my face. So there were threats made but I stuck to my guns on that and was prepared to get arrested over it and have my day in court for it too and they knew that.

My argument was that my vehicle isn’t a public space and it isn’t open to the public - my argument.

They weren't in your car! Your car was on the public highway and they are free to film...

As for them filming… if they’ve got nothing on you then it would be a useless recording for them anyway and they wouldn’t use it in the final production.

Not necessarily. We have these stupid reality TV shows over here like Cops, RBT and stupid things like that were they just pull people over and they make a show about it.

They would prefer the “victims” to be intoxicated but they also show people being pulled over and being below the limit.

They got more than they bargained for with me.

At the end, they had to get someone from the Police Department Legal Department to speak to me because as they were threatening me with all sorts of shit, I threatened to go them with legal action if they used the material and I was told they won’t and even apologised

They got defensive in the end because they were the arseholes...

The copper placed his hand in my car so I can blow into the machine and I could hardly see with all the bright lights.

I didn’t provide any sample as I politely refused, which is definitely illegal. You can be arrested for that but they didn’t dare do it despite all the threats they would as I told them I will provide a sample as soon as the camera and lights are out of my face.

They don’t scare me. Also, most of the speed radars here are speed cameras. You don’t get pulled over.

They were not impressed, but neither was I with that fucken camera crew filming me.

If I was arrested, my lawyer would be at the cop station to bail me and then it would have been on for young and old. I got no problem with spending a few thousand bucks with lawyers on my principles. And I also believe the judge would have sided with me as well, because these “cop” media TV ambush’s are not on. I felt violated.

And my lawyer is a very nasty one too.

The incident happened in Adelaide, which is where I am now.

There were 2 cars behind me, one marked and an unmarked car as well with lights on from inside their windscreen. I was trying to think about all kinds of scenarios.

Then a camera crew jumps out of the unmarked car and they point a huge light and camera in my face. At this point I am just a bit stunned.

Cop then comes to my window, asks for my licence and tells me I am stopped for a random breath test. I sai=d sure, I will comply, but get the fucking camera out of my face arsehole!

He said that the camera was filming him, whilst it was pointing at me all that while.

I told him I don’t want to be filmed.

He asked me to blow in their breath machine. I told him to get the camera out of my face and I will give you my breath analysis.

He then accuses me of refusing to supply a sample.

I told him I will provide a sample if you pull the camera out of my face,

The audacity of these bastards
