Hello

I have a question which I really hope someone can answer.. So,recently I was on holiday in Cyprus and one of the things I like to do is to watch the stars and the moon before I sleep. Don’t laugh... so here I am sat on my balcony one evening and out of the corner of my eye, I saw flashes of colour in the sky. I have not seen these in any other country I have been to, nor my own country.

These flashes were red, white and I think green too. Every time they flashed, the moon was illuminated. It was fascinating to watch and the “show” lasted for over 20 minutes and on two separate occasions.

The weather was good both times so it wasn’t a thunderstorm. They were also out to sea, above the moon.

As I don’t know the name of this, I can’t read up on it.

I really hope that like me, there are some of you who also like to watch the night sky too and will know what I have seen.

P.s before I am asked, I had not had any alcohol, nor had I taken any substances. My vision is also perfect

Are you by any chance close to some kind of firing range?

Lol.. no I wasn’t. Not unless the firing range was in the sea lol .I was on a 3rd floor apartment complex In a quiet area.

There are lots of military exercises taking place in and around Cyprus including land to sea firing and sea to sea, etc.

Were you near a British Base? Were you in Akamas?

You should tell us the location to see if there is a firing range out to sea in that area.

Otherwise, how can anyone help you?

Usually people who believe in ....mythology
more often than not witness unexplained events, personally I have experienced a few
in my long life but usually after a bottle or two of red !!

I’m not familiar with that so yes that is a logical explanation, thank you. But why could I see different colours?

It could be anything from tracer fire, rockets, missiles, flares or even aircraft.

Might not have a military aspect. Could be Maritime Search and Rescue as well.
