To be accepted in *any* group one would need to go with the flow of that group.
So to join the “GC group” you'd have to…
(a) See Turkey as an invader/occupier
(b) Be in support of a unitary state
(c) See the removal of Turkey from Cyprus as liberation of the island
(d) Recognize the RoC as the sole legitimate government of Cyprus
...and so forth.
These are the kind of things you may get tested for because it’s not like people go round with an ethnicity testing kit.
It's the person's MINDSET that gets tested, not his blood or DNA.
But I will tell you what I told you another time: Stop trying to fit in any specific group. It doesn't matter. If you need to be part of a group then what you are is a "UK born Turkish Cypriot". You will probably never fit in perfectly with Turkish Cypriots who were born and raised in Cyprus, and you will probably never fit in perfectly with the English. But that shouldn't bother you because it doesn't matter. You can be part of communities which you choose to belong based on your interests and beliefs - those communities don't need to be ethnicity based.
