Cyprus Problem and the Legal Battles

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Wed Jan 18, 2006 1:18 pm

RoC is a perfectly legal state under an illegal occupation. This illegal occupation is affecting all Cypriots in a negative way and it will continue to do so until you stop the illegalities.

What decisions you will take in your "courts" etc are totally irrelevant. You can take any kind of decision that comes to your mind, like you have always done. I couldn't care less. There is only one decision that matters: To end the illegal occupation.

Many greek cypriot refugees care, and so does the ECHR.

So if the court in the TRNC starts to pay compensation and return property to GCs you feel this is irrelevent. You are crazier than I thought, this alone will open the flood gates to thousands of applications some of which will be put on hold just like your own GC style human rights and democracy applied to TCs in the "RoC".
The 18% theory is once again about to go out of the window and recognized partition moves closer. Let talk about the split in 10 years time Piratis when many GCs would have sold their properties to the TRNC.

Why isnt your leaders solving your problems? why are they always waiting for someone else to solve it for them?

I'm opposed to monetary compensation for the victims of ethnic cleansing. The only fair remedy is restitution.

I don't understand why Greek Cypriot refugees would want to resort to the Turkish Hack property commission. They would surely make more money if they sold their property directly to foreign investors or foreign developers.

Personally if I was absolutely forced to sell my preference would be to sell the sea side block of land my dad left me to a Colombian drug lord who wears white shoes and has a pinky ring. He would develop a hotel on it and blow up the cars and kidnap the wives of all his competitors.

Why should the Turks be allowed to profit from the ethnic cleansing by seizing land imish compensating the victims of the ethnic cleansing and then selling the seized land to developers for 10 times the value ofthe compensation?

In any case the "TRNC" will not be able to restrict Greek Cypriots who hold dual citizenship from purchasing land in the TRNC once its treated as part of the EU. I might go on the website selling real estate and I'll purchase some Turkish Cypriot owned land in the Occupied areas as using my dual citizenship.

I don't know about the "TRNC" and your foreign ownership "laws" but , what is stopping Greek Cypriots living abroad changing their name by deed poll to Angosaxon/Russian names or what ever and then purchasing all the Turkish Cypriot land in the ethnically cleansed part of Cyprus now it is cheap? Soon the Turks will not have legal title to less than 8% they'll have legal title to less than 2%.

Clarify the term dual citizenship. Do you intend to become a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizen?

No re koumbare. You didn't understand me.

As an Australian Citizen I can buy land in the Occupied North using an Angleziced name. -But I also have a Cypriot Passport. Talat does not allow Greek Cypriots and some others to purchase land in the Occupied areas.
If I use an Anglecized name how is he going to prevent buying up what ever i want and even my own house, in the Occupied areas?

Why dont you try it Esentepe, before a foreigner can complete a purchase a thorough worldwide search is conducted into the character of that individual. Yours would obviously reveal your name change from a Greek name to and English one.
As long as this new court deals fairly with applications and a few GC receive property or compensation just imagine the flood gates will be open. But dont forget many properties although acknowleging the GC owners will be held in custody until a solution is found just like the south.
