I heard he lives in The Blue Mountains. It's very nice up there.
Mountains and beautiful lush green forests everywhere.
The most beautiful place in Australia, in my opinion is the Northern NSW coast - Coffs Harbour, to Gold Coast. Best beaches and rain-forests too right to the sea. Best climate and weather too.
But then again, so is Lorn along the 12 Apostles Coast.
Noosa too.
So many places. you can get lost in Australia and never want to leave. It is the lucky country. Everything is so chilled and relaxed. Australians are pretty unique kind of people. Very friendly too.
Yes, Bir still lives in the Blue Mountain Region. I met up with him also couple of years ago for couple of days at the Blue Mountains and a day in Sydney. I drove from Adelaide to Sydney along the coast for about 2 weeks. Most definitely Melbourne and Sydney take the prize as the most fascinating cities in Australia that I had seen during the drive. Next time I will drive north from Sydney to Brisbane, Darwin, Alice Springs to Adelaide. I loved the friendly nature and hospitality of the Aussies, as well as their great food. Gooday mate!
There isn't a bad city in Australia.
Amazing you did all that. You are very lucky.
Adelaide is famous for Hahndorf, Clare Valley and Barossa Valley and probably the best wines in the world. Also known for the best craft beers and it is very German culturally. It produces wines that are better than French wines. It has very old European architecture and has a very European feel to it. The best planned city in the world. Lots of parks and lots of recreation.
Melbourne, also very European and cultural and famous or its fashion and restaurants. The best coffee in the world and just so cosmo.
Sydney, well Sydney is just out there. No one can really describe it. But has a very silicon valley American feel to it. Just like Brisbane. Otherwise known as Brisvegas. Very silicon valley or Los Angeles feel to it. The jury is out on which city is the best. Personally, I like Sydney. But there are plenty who disagree with me and say Melbourne. And there are plenty who disagree with Sydney and Melbourne and say Adelaide. Brisbane too. Then you got the Gold Coast too which is phenomenal.
Perth is the city I like the least, but really, it is also a very fine place with the Swan River and very picturesque. It has a Cypriot climate,
Darwin is very tropical. Known for its fishing and outdoors lifestyle.
I have lived in every Australian city now except for Hobart, which is like Adelaide and Melbourne. I've been to Hobart, just not lived it. It is a very gorgeous place. Tasmania is extremely pretty.
I was in Darwin for a while too, some years back and have very fond memories of the place. It is also famous for its Greek Kalymnian (Kalymnos) Community and sponge divers from Greece and Japan. Darwin has the best Greek community ever. Just absolutely marvelous people.
Also famous for the pearling industry and for Paspalley Pearls. A Greek Billionaire that has outlets in LA, New York, Dubai and sells some of the most expensive and exclusive pearl jewellery on the planet. Also owns Pearl Aviation. A very fine man that guy.
