he also made the latest 31 man Australian Squad.

BTW, I just did some research and it seems Giannou was capped for Greece against Hungary in a Euro 2016 Qualifier. Not only that, but both Greece and Australia were fighting for his international allegiance, as he was born in Greece but grew up in Australia.

For Australia, he only played in 2 official games, the rest being friendlies for a total of 5 caps so far.

In other words, both countries saw potential, and for Greece, he represented the country in U17, U19 and U21 level. So the guy is no mug, and also he is still only 25 years old.

Having seen him in action with AEK, he looks real good in front of goal. But as I said, he is only 25 so he has a long way to go.

And yes, Apostolos is a Greek. He represented Greece in Junior and Senior levels, was born in Greece and is a Greek citizen.
