I don’t believe that APOEL is the best team in CY this year (or the last) and therefore I don’t want them to represent us in the CL.
It really pisses me off that they may well get the championship again this year through cheating only to watch them disgrace us in the CL.
I’d rather see Apollon go to the CL because they are so much more talented and entertaining.
So as a Cypriot it makes me angry that our 2nd or 3rd best team will go to the CL because it has more money in the bank and therefore more influence over our corrupt refereeing system.
Let me break I down for you again cause you have Cyprus Forumitis. The disease of posting without facts or data and purely out of being a parrot of what other κομπλεξικοί fill the internet with.
1) figure out how many penalties the rest of the teams have. We have ONE player that executes ours but you need to see it as a team.
2) understand that we have the fastest and by far best wingers in the league. Tamari and Zahid can’t be stopped by the average velocity challenged moron from the other defenses and HAVE to be fouled. If you knew a little about football we wouldn’t have to break things down like that now but you don’t, and I do so here we are.
3) Not a million years ago but 2 yers ago this team was the first Cypriot team to win its UEL group stage. Let me make this simpler. FIRST IN UCL GROUP, FIRST IN A UEL GROUP, FINAL 8 UCL, FINAL 16 UEL.
You little green parrots out there that keep singing the Apoel cheats song can never ever explain why Apoel has this success in Europe. Does the 8 million euro budget also buy games against Russian, English and Portuguese teams? Did we cheat when we knocked out Athletic Bilbao a couple of years ago?
Wash your non-football mouth out with soap next time you claim that this team disgraces this rock in the Mediterranean. Apoel put this country on the world football stage. Shocked Europe and turned all you κομπλεξικους into little green parrots that have been trying to chip away as usual at anything that does some good on this island. Why? Cause this is the attitude. We don’t applaude a Cypriot doing well, we figure out how they did it and cry Cheat! Or Steal! Or Favour!
You and others like you anger me and we should’ve packed up this team years ago and taken it to the Austrian
League where it can be challenged and grown. This cesspool sickens me but I guess that’s why we’re Cypriots. This is why I need to be on a plane every week to make a living cause there’s nothing on this island other than cronyism and envy. Small town attitudes with small town opportunity. An inbred gc and tc population that managed to fuck itself so much that we can’t be unfucked out of this situation. We’re the Mediterranean’s rednecks, cheering at our fellow Cypriots defeats and angered at our fellow Cypriots victories.
