But the top Cypriot clubs are ranked way higher than your best…

How much more evidence do you need?

Those are irrelevant Get Real and you know it.

The playing field isn't normal because A League teams can't play in UEFA and earn coefficient points. Most of the players in each team are Australian, so our national Team is much stronger than yours because the A League develops our own players not foreigners. There are only 4 marquee foreign players per team.

And they are high quality signings like Avraam Papadopoulos who use to play for Aris and Olympiacos Pireas, then Trabzonspor and Christensen and Mikkelsen who were Danish NT mainstay.

If A League teams would play in UEFA, our budgets are much larger than anything you have in Cyprus. The teams have big backers, some are European backers such as Manchester City, and in Brisbane's case it is PSV.

Australia does have European Football here.

You have a pub league that is cute because you have 2 ok teams in it. :D

I just went to a game that had 22000 fans compared to the average 2000 crowds in Cyprus. C'mon, let's be serious now.

It wouldn’t make any difference to your club rankings or the combined league ranking if your average attendance was 5 billion per match and your sponsors worth $99 trillion, because the fact remains that…

YOU CAN’T PLAY FOOTBALL

Your teams are just not good enough Paphitis and there are not enough daft excuses you can type here that is going to change that!

Only ONE thing matters in rankings… performance against clubs of other nations, and your clubs aren’t performing!

Your clubs are like a donkey trying to compete at the Grand National!

It may be a pretty donkey… it may have a huge following back home… it may wear a lovely straw hat… but it can’t gallop as fast as race horses so forget it!

No you are right about crowd attendance not affecting the rankings. What attendances show and TV viewership and rights as well, is that the A League is a marketable product that is run professionally and is entertaining. What your crowds show is that your league is a tinpot league.

What affects the rankings are the UEFA coefficient points, and A League teams do not have enough or even any opportunity to earn coefficient points.

Therefore the ranking system is bullshit because you are comparing 2 things which are not the same - one can earn UEFA coefficient and the other just can't.

Now listen to paphitis. Your league is amateur hour. The A League is fully professional across the board with 10 good teams. The A League can buy the Cy League and all the teams in it. Know your place old chap, know your place.

Listen carefully, your clubs play in the AFC Champions League...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFC_Champions_League

Due to Australia's geographic location.

However, the AFC is extremely weak compared to UEFA yet you're still not getting much in terms of coefficient points because you are BAD.

Here’s your 2018 top team’s page (Sydney FC) on the Wiki…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_FC

Now scroll down to “AFC Club ranking”

They are ranked 30th in the AFC!!! <--

Scroll further down now to “International record”… They get thrashed by Chinese, Japanese and Korean clubs year after year for fuck’s sake!

Your clubs are SAD re Paphiti...

No that isn't true at all.

We actually won the AFC a couple of years ago.

https://www.news.com.au/sport/football/ ... f35e13d607

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_AFC_ ... ague_Final

It's the coefficient point system that is at play. Australian teams don't get enough opportunity and even in the AFC, coefficient points are only worth half the amount.

And btw, there are AFC teams which are very good.

There are Chinese Teams that have 300 million dollar squads, and soon they will pass Barcelona. Japanese teams are the same, and are owned by car makers.

Clearly you are talking a lot of shit and are ignorant. You don't even know that China is signing players for 50 million. In fact they nearly broke the transfer record. What this means is this, they will eventually take over.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/th ... rlos-tevez

So stop pretending that the AFC is shit. The coefficient points are shit but there is no friggin way Cyprus can compete with the A League, J League or China and South Korea.

The Asian soccer market is about 5 times bigger than Europe which is why the A League gets 100 Billion in TV Rights over 10 years.

It doesn’t matter if Chinese or Australian teams are dumb enough to pay through the nose for some players… they are still playing in FIFA's AFC region which is like DIVISION 3, and that’s why they have to pay 3-4 times the going price to lure players there!

UEFA is the toughest cluster to play in, but none of the AFC teams would survive there... not even the champion of the AFC can survive in Europe.

Oh please, don't tell me now that Cypriots are smarter than the Chinese and Australians in Business.

The A League = Business model = 100 Billion TV Rights / 10 years. Marketable product HELLO Houston!

You are in no position to bag us when we can friggin buy your tinpot league out with our spare change.

While your teams are pulling their dicks over Florian who is nothing but a bench warming imoact player, there are friggin International Players for Serbia, Denmark, Greece, Belgium, and Sweden in the A League.

A Chinese or Australian club would have to pay 3-4 times more for the same player than a Cypriot club, because it’s a DEAD END there for the player!

Only the Cypriot club can guarantee participation in UEFA tournaments so as an example a player will face the following dilema:

1. Go to an Australian club for $500,000 per year salary but no prestigious tournament.

2. Go to a Cypriot club for $100,000 per year and guaranteed participation in UEFA tournaments.

If you were a young promising player which option would you choose?

Football players are not just doing it for the money but more importantly for the GLORY, and only through the UEFA tournaments can such a player move to a bigger and bigger club to attain that European GLORY.

China and Australia cannot offer any glory... no prestige... so they try to get them with more cash.

Do you really think so?

I put it to you that Chinese teams are now going after the best players in the world and they are having a lot of success attracting them.

They got the money because of the size of their market and can afford to splash the money around.

Eventually what will happen is that the AFC Champions League will be stronger than the European Champions league because everyone will be in China becoming Billionaires and that is the pull China has. Not because it is a terrific place or anything, but you can go there for a couple of years and end up being Onassis.

By default, with the rise of China, the A League and J league will be Leagues of choice as well - hence why European Clubs and Emirate Oil Sheiks are buying Australian Teams and writing unlimited cheques out to sign players.

Our Football markets are GROWTH markets with a lot of upside.

The only great players that abandon Europe are ones that have already attained European glory and are too old to continue in a big European club so they move to places like the US or Australia to get lots of CASH.
