Apollon and AEK are playing attacking football giving spectators lots of GOALS unlike your team which would only park the bus in front of their goal and brace themselves! :roll:

Huge difference in quality mate… :)

I sure hope I never see APOEL again for at least 2-3 years when everyone working there is completely replaced and they start playing proper football.

I know you miss those days we ripped up Europe....final 8 champions league, final 16 Europa league....I miss them too :cry:

Just not the same without Apoel is it....

I disagree...

Apollon has played quite well so far. :)

A narrow away defeat against Lazio and a draw against Olympique Marseille (last year's Europa League finalist BTW) are not bad results! :wink:

Let's have a look at total market values (source: transfermarkt.de):

->Apollon Limassol 15.08 million EUR
->Lazio 339.45 million EUR
->Olympique Marseille 258.30 million EUR

Let's be realistic here!

As if the Koala watches any matches or has any clue about football... :lol:

Btw, replacing that useless Greek Yiannou with the 17 year old kid proved very positive… hopefully the kid will play 90 minutes next time.

OK, that's not bad at all. Cypriot teams punch above their weight which is good.

I'm happy to see other teams step up, like Appollon. I'm not an AEK fan. Not an Omonoia fan but would love to see Appollon, AEL, and Anorthosis step up. I can also accept AEK stepping up, but as Omonoia get whipped. :lol:

Thta's not very nice. I actually watch a lot of Soccer and I have been to a few games in Europe in the past, Greek Super League, World Cup and European Champions League as well. I am actually a Soccer tragic.

I have also been to a couple of Apoel and Omonoia games in Cyprus and they would have to be the worst. I got turned off by the quality because it was negative football and there were not many fans. The Average attendance is under 2000 I believe. It's like watching amateur league in Australia.

We are use to 14,000 average attendance and all the vibrancy and colour of Europe, and the tribalism and noise. We have big games with 30,000 and 45,000 people attending and there is a famous derby that attracts 65,000 in Melbourne.

Nothing compares to that. Plus the Football is very fast, attacking and aggressive.

Listen Koala... teams like AEK or Apollon would SMASH the living daylights out of any Australian team you may care to mention... home or away. :lol:

It would be a goal fiesta... :lol:

In all honesty, I seriously doubt it very much Get Real!

One of those teams can certainly try in the pre-season. Lots of European Teams come in the pre-season. Big teams like Liverpool, Manchester, PSV, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

AEK and Appollon would be demolished...They would however make a very large Cypriot community very happy and they would receive a lot of support. But don't expect to come out alive. First of all, Cypriot teams can't play Australian Teams. You will need a nearby hospital to treat the wounded. Australian teams only have one gear, and that's full pelt.They don't know how to park buses. :lol:

Top Cypriot teams on the left and Australian on the right... (You can read numbers right?) :lol:

I trust you don’t need “world ranking” explained in greater detail Paphidoui… :lol:

Those rankings are pretty irrelevant when you are comparing to teams in the A League.

They are unable to earn the coefficient points, so even an Icelandic or Maltese team might have a higher ranking, but the reality is completely different and they will get smashed.

The A league is a pretty fierce competition. It's a lot better and a lot higher standard than the Cy League. No matter how you dice it, there is no way you can compare.
